This Year's Model Updates:

The Pathfinder Armada is an all-new full-size sport-utility vehicle from Nissan. Based on the Titan pickup, it features a standard V8 engine, seating for eight and numerous family-friendly features.

Pros:
  • Spacious interior, gutsy V8, lots of up-front storage areas, fold-flat third-row seat.
Cons:
  • Bold styling is polarizing, leather seats not as comfortable as cloth, dismal fuel mileage.

We have driven over 14,000 miles and I really like the driveing and handle, loads of power and it has a nice feel to the transmition shift points. Now for the problems: the major problem that we have had with our truck is the BRAKES!!!! The rotors were turned and new pads at 6,000 miles and new rotors and pads at 13,000 miles. We are not speed demonds and hard braking habits either. Nissan needs to address this NOW!! Way to much SUV way to little rotor. I am waiting for the 05 to come out, If the correct the brake rotors I going to get a Titan also. Nissan has serviced the problems and claims

Excellent power, comfortable interior, good sound system. Problem with clock on radio not keeping time properly. Would like split 3rd row seating like Sequoia. Gas milage performing below rating, but SUV is still under 1000 miles. Tires were over inflated, and driving seemed smoother after adjustment to specification (35 psi). Stiff suspension makes for bumpy ride over rough road, but very smooth on highway. Fun to drive, throaty sound, size of vehicle makes it feel like you could drive through a brick wall. Bring on a snow blizzard.

with such a larger vechicle as the Armada there should be side turning lamps. This vechicle also needs automatic locking doors, when the vehicle is but into gear.

Well my experience with this vechile still continues. The quality factor is awful compared to what nissans used to be. Trying to get nissan to buy this vehicle back or give me a new one..

Now 18 K-sounds like a 15 year old cab. Worst build quality and materials I have ever seen-radio cant drown out squeaks. Brakes too small for vehicle and wet performance is horrid. Beautiful body and great engine but look elsewhere.

I believe that I am one of the first buyers in E TN on 10-10-03. The miles are estimated for the first year. The dealership was first rate and the salesman Scott B was great in showing me the features. The second day we took a trip to the Lindville Falls wilderness area with 20 miles of tough, watersoaked roads. It took it without complaint. It handles as well as the Tourage by VW. But pulls around 9100# and weighs 7000#. Totally solid. Everyone of my friends with Denalis, etc. are impressed. Ill give it a 10. GPH

All I can say is I looked at all the ratings for the Armada. I wanted to by a Toyota Sequoia and found to much hype. The Armada has the power and Features (Standard),Toyota only wish it had. Move over Toyota or get ran over. Armada is the real deal.

  • so far, so good - 2004 Nissan Armada

I HAVE HAD THE ARMADA FOR ONLY 1 WEEK, BUT I WANTED TO WRITE A REVIEW WHILE I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY. WE DID NOT GO TO THE DEALERSHIP TO BUY AN ARMADA, WE WERE GOING TO CHECK OUT THE PATHFINDER. MY HUSBAND AND I HAD DRIVEN ONE BEFORE AND LIKED IT. WELL, MY HUSBAND IS ABOUT 62" WITH LONG LEGS AND THE PATHFINDER WAS NOT A GOOD FIT. THE SALESPERSON SUGGESTED WE TEST THE ARMADA. WE FELL IN LOVE, I WENT HOME, DID SOME RESEARCH ON-LINE. WE WENT BACK AND BOUGHT THE VEHICLE. MY HUSBAND GAVE IT TO ME TO DRIVE THIS FIRST WEEK. I WORK ABOUT 20 MILE FROM MY HOME, I AM AN AVON LADY ALSO, SO YOU CAN IMAGINE THE RUNNING AROUND I DO, ALL I CAN SAY IS "SO FAR, SO GOOD" I LOVE IT.

  • CAUTION - Big Mistake - 2004 Nissan Armada

I am VERY DISAPOINTED. I purchased the Armada 7/04 new. It has been in the shop now 6 times in the last 6 months. The dealership is great and is sympathetic to my problems. Overhead compartment squeeks like crazy. New Tork Converter, Transmission, 4 New Michelin Tires and New Overhead Compartment @ 7300 miles. Sunroof rattles along with everything else. New brakes @10,500 miles. Front end still shakes. waiting for next go around of rattles to start. Overall 30+ business days in shop so far. I have called Nissan Corporate 4 times they promise calls back, but never deliver. I was thinking of creating a web sight called "My Armada Squeeks, Rattles and Shakes." Think before you buy!

  • ROUGH RIDE - 2004 Nissan Armada

OWNED TWO EXPEDITIONS BEFORE THIS ARMADA. GREAT POWER AND THE TEC PACKAGE IS FANTASTIC....TURNS ON A DIME AND HAS A SUPER SOUND SYSTEM. THE RIDE IS WAY TO BUMPY AND I HAVE EVEN REDUCED TIRE PRESSURE TO EASE THE TEETH RATTLING RIDE.....MAYBE MICHELIN TIRES WILL HELP... IF I HAD TO DO IT AGAIN I WOULD GO BACK TO THE FORD EXPEDITION.
