Overview & Reviews
Enhancements for the 2005 Nissan 350Z include a standard tire-pressure monitor, heated outside mirrors and a driver-seat height adjuster for both front and rear portions of the bottom cushion. Clutch pedal effort has been reduced this year, and the five-speed automatic transmission now features downshift rev matching. The navigation system has a faster processor for improved route calculation times. A special 35th Anniversary edition includes 18-inch alloy wheels, Brembo brakes, front chin spoiler, rear spoiler, available two-tone leather seats and a choice of three exterior colors, including a new Ultra Yellow. A slight bump in horsepower is also part of the package.
- Smooth and powerful V6 engine, excellent handling, available drop-top version, a bargain compared to anything that can run with it.
- Rough ride on Track model, some low-grade interior materials, lack of luggage space, poor rearward visibility.

What a fun vehicle! - 2005 Nissan 350Z
By Randy - August 11 - 11:03 amThis is one outstanding car to drive, especially with the top down in the sun! With power and giddy-up to boot, Id say itd be find a more fun ride. However, I am beginning to notice some unneccesary wear of the relatively cheap interior materials and workmanship.

awesome to drive - 2005 Nissan 350Z
By Miffer3 - July 8 - 9:26 amThe Z is an eye catcher. I have had other drivers follow me to my driveway to ask about the car. They want one too.I have driven the car for 8 hours at a time with stops only for necessities and did feel a little muscle sore in spots but still had a smile on my face. It is a sports car not a road yacht after all. Changing after the first oil change to synthetic oil did give me two more miles per gallon, giving me on the open road 25 and 26 mpg. One very big complaint, I took delivery of the car from the dealer with the front end out of alignment wearing out the new tires in less then 5000 miles. They have not replaced these tires after waiting 2 months already. This is a factory defect.

My New Z - 2005 Nissan 350Z
By Maureen - June 21 - 2:10 amI drove an 85 Z for 20 years and loved the performance and reliability so bought the new Z. Im loving it as well. The fuel economony isnt great but I havent had it long and have been driving "stop and go" around town so its not a "true" picture of what highway driving fuel use would be. Some say its a "rough" ride but I say it drives like a sports car should!

Best Yet - 2005 Nissan 350Z
By jshane - April 27 - 4:06 amIve had Mustangs, Camaros, and Trans Ams, but have never had a sports car this good! Its acceleration, handling, build quality and fun to drive factor are miles ahead of the american rivals. Detroit could take a lesson from a car like this.

tons of fun - 2005 Nissan 350Z
By 2005 nissan 350z - February 1 - 2:33 amI love the bright yellow color. Acceleration great. I like all the stainless steel accents. It is fun to drive. I enjoy the Navigation system. Bose sound system great!!! I wish it had a better console for drinks. It has 1 flimsy plastic holder. Overall I love the car!! The cost of insurance is high, but worth it. I am happy with my purchase.

Biased Z review by enthusiast - 2005 Nissan 350Z
By Landbarger - January 4 - 10:33 pmI love it. Its a GREAT car, mixing the drivability and fun of American muscle and the weight and handling of more hardcore sports cars. Finding a line somewhere between the portly Mustang GT and the more-purist Honda S2000, the 350Z is a classic example of excellent lines, medium displacement (3.5L V6=more torque than typical pocket rockets) and acceptable (3200lb) curb weight. No one who drives the Z will be disappointed with the performance so long as they keep in mind the price and goal market. Particularly, the 350Z beats everything in close competition (3L+ V6), the new Eclipse (less hp, less mpg), the Crossfire (less hp, worse handling), and the R32 (looks, probably mpg, too).
