Overview & Reviews
Mitsubishi's fourth-generation Galant features some new standard and optional equipment, like a LATCH system for child seats and traction control and heated mirrors for cold-weather dwellers who purchase the all-weather package. It now meets LEV standards.
- V6 power, attractive styling, excellent handling, comfortable interior.
- No manual transmission for V6 models, too much road noise in the cabin.

Mediocre - 2001 Mitsubishi Galant
By tangesazen - September 30 - 10:00 amThis car has ok looks, and I had 15 years of good experiences with previous Mitsubishi vehicles. I was looking for a four-door car with good mileage and good workmanship. After twenty months, I would rate this Galant as very mediocre. Mileage claimed was 33 Hwy, 27 City. I get 25 avg with 90% Hwy miles. Workmanship. Ive lost track of how many things have fallen off this car or no longer fit well. And they must have run out of money, the entire trunk looks like it was made with the $15 left in their budget. There is a _LOT_ of cabin noise also. My next car will not be a Mitsubishi.

Run Away From Me - 2001 Mitsubishi Galant
By bad mitsu - December 31 - 10:00 amI have bought this car right off of the show room floor. 12 miles on it. Right after the warranty expired. I have had to replace Engine, have the transmission overhauled, replace entire muffler from rust. This car has never been involved in any accident or loss. The interior Started falling apart. Whats worse the car never gave any warning signs of engine or transmission trouble. Called Mitsubishi, they were no help at all. Not even a sorry for all the trouble. $24,000.00 for the worst car I have ever owned.
