Overview & Reviews
TeleAid comes standard on every CLK model this year, and the front windows lower slightly when you open the doors and seal (foop!) tight when you close them.
- Sleek styling, solid chassis, composed ride, comfortable front seats.
- Heavy steering, tiny backseat/large blind spots in convertibles, some cheap-feeling interior switches, intrusive traction control system.

Love my CLK 430 - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By Travis - October 4 - 4:00 amI have loved my CLK 430 coupe since day #1. It always puts a smile on my face and is great to drive, especially on the open road. The updated styling for 2001 still looks great and I think, better than the current, slimmer model. Despite some small nuisance repairs, Id recommend it to anyone who wants a solid, sporty car to drive in the city or on the highway.

CLK 430 COUPE - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By Henri - March 29 - 10:00 amBought it a year old. Lots of fun. Only have 18k miles on it after two years. Bad news. Front AMG bumper cracks easily. 3000 to replace. Also have a lot of new squeaks in front seats. Tires replaced at 12K miles. Bad city gas mileage, but good on highway. Nice transmission, great seats, good room for 4 people. POWERFUL engine, which moves..Best body style so far. Had fuel sensors replaced twice - under warranty. But love look and feel of heavy car. Feels very strong and safe. Not sure how resale value will be. Recommend buying extended warranty before original exprires.

Fun and more.... - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By Dave761 - December 2 - 2:00 amThe car lives up to everything I have enjoyed about Mercedes. I have had three other models and this one is the most fun to drive.

not again - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By stuf - October 14 - 2:00 amThis auto has fantastic styling and engineering yet lacks reliability. The electrical system has had several problems since I reached mile 16. I have had the instrument cluster replaced 6 times for malfunctions. The automatic windows have been reset or replaced 9 times. The best attribute of this auto has been the great gas mileage 23/30.

Fun - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By lka - May 23 - 10:00 amI was worried that id never use the rag top, but was i wrong. Top is down 90% of the time. Plenty of room for my little ones (they keep coats in the car for when its cold). very quiet when top is up and freeway driving. excellent gas mileage while on freeway. great features. fantastic power. wish i had the nav system. Also, hard to find cell phones (other than from dealer $$$$$$) with integrated system. my wife even loves driving now.

There is nothing else like it ! - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By cmm - August 25 - 10:00 amHave had absolutely no problems with it, except someone felt they needed my hood ornament more than I did. Replacement cost was 7 bucks and theyve got boxes at the dealership. As for the window dropping on the auto up problem, I called the 1-800 # and they walked me thru a how to correct it with window button. Its actually a choice.

Fun in the Sun - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By Olav - March 23 - 8:26 amI love my little drop top. Zippy and easy to park. Fun to drive and extrememly comfortable. The dealership has been very helpful w/ regular services and on of the rear windows had to be replaced due to mechanical problems. The car is getting older now and I will truely miss it. With this car your not just happy driving it but also standing in a traffic jam is no problem thanks to the great sound of BOSE. I love it.

CLK430 2001 - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By Vinh Pham - January 18 - 10:00 amToo many problems, at 45k my sunroof and noise problems were still not fixed, new transmission, new car seat motor (3 times, new catalic converter, new A/C drier, sterring wheel shock, new cup holder (2 times), remote door opener, window motor ..... it seems like we dont have good mechanics or poor design, even an aligment took more than 3 times to get it working right, I never had that experience with my Lexus LS400 or Infinity Q45.
