Overview & Reviews
TeleAid comes standard on every CLK model this year, and the front windows lower slightly when you open the doors and seal (foop!) tight when you close them.
- Sleek styling, solid chassis, composed ride, comfortable front seats.
- Heavy steering, tiny backseat/large blind spots in convertibles, some cheap-feeling interior switches, intrusive traction control system.

Love my CLK 430 - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By Travis - October 4 - 4:00 amI have loved my CLK 430 coupe since day #1. It always puts a smile on my face and is great to drive, especially on the open road. The updated styling for 2001 still looks great and I think, better than the current, slimmer model. Despite some small nuisance repairs, Id recommend it to anyone who wants a solid, sporty car to drive in the city or on the highway.

not again - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By stuf - October 14 - 2:00 amThis auto has fantastic styling and engineering yet lacks reliability. The electrical system has had several problems since I reached mile 16. I have had the instrument cluster replaced 6 times for malfunctions. The automatic windows have been reset or replaced 9 times. The best attribute of this auto has been the great gas mileage 23/30.

CLK430 2001 - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By Vinh Pham - January 18 - 10:00 amToo many problems, at 45k my sunroof and noise problems were still not fixed, new transmission, new car seat motor (3 times, new catalic converter, new A/C drier, sterring wheel shock, new cup holder (2 times), remote door opener, window motor ..... it seems like we dont have good mechanics or poor design, even an aligment took more than 3 times to get it working right, I never had that experience with my Lexus LS400 or Infinity Q45.

OK - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By JAEB - June 24 - 2:00 amHave had the car 4 years from new and it still feels like new. Some irritating problems like rusting wjeel nuts, poor heating and ventilation electronics and cheap fixtures in some parts of the interior. Performance OK for this class.Great residual value, but I plan to keep the car for a quite a few more years.

nice car - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By grahamkj - February 28 - 10:00 amI am pretty happy with the car. It has a solid ride. The only problems with the car have been some clicking sounds in the driver door. This car is stylish and drives like a sports car. After driving a new sport edition E320 I realized the CLK is much more sporty than I ever imagined.

Not what I was expecting - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By Jac - July 4 - 2:00 amLots of electrical and electronic problems. Everytime the dealership repaired one problem they seemed to create (2). Example on 3rd attempt to get auto-up feature on window to stop dropping the window down, they pulled the door panel and found corrosion.Replaced window parts. Obviously the lost power to vital areas and scrambled all the memory features, mirror controls, etc. Back to the dealership for another week. Replaced windshield and damaged exterior and interior trim pieces. So many problems I dont remember them all.

Dream Car or Not? - 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
By Sharon - October 30 - 11:53 pmMy CLK320 drives like the dream I always thought Mercedes to be! This is my first Mercedes owenership experience. My main frustration has been the constant back and forth to the dealer for repairs! I have had to replace the catalytic converter 3 times in just over 2 years of ownership. Various sensors have also failed and needed replacement. Ive wondered about the wisdom of purchasing another Benz. Still, when the car is not in the shop its nice to tool around in!
