Overview & Reviews
The 2008 Mazda Tribute has been heavily revised with significant changes made to the exterior styling and a more stylish, functional and better constructed interior. Like the closely related Ford Escape, the Tribute's engines and chassis carry over virtually untouched. A hybrid-powered Tribute is also expected for this year.
- Comfortable interior, impressive list of standard safety features.
- Mediocre braking, disappointing fuel-efficiency, folding down second seat a multistep process.

i Sport 4DR 4-cylinder - 2008 Mazda Tribute
By GeorgeSATX - March 16 - 12:26 amWe bought the Mazda Tribute i because of our recent addition to the family. We had a Ford Ranger Edge. THis SUV is great! We where going to get the CX-7, Im glad we got into this vehicle. Its roomy, the styling is great. The aux input jack comes in handy. Its even Satellite radio equipped. I put in a TomTom GPS navigation device, Its the vehicle we needed, great features. Side impact air bags for protection. All in all Mazda, went over our expectations. Definitely recommend this SUV.

My 08 Tribute - 2008 Mazda Tribute
By Chris - January 22 - 6:16 pmI was in an accident yesterday and was broadsided by someone that ran a red light. My daughter and I both walked away without any injuries. I believe the side airbags saved us from having serious injuries. I love my Mazda Tribute.

Wow II - 2008 Mazda Tribute
By Trebor II - August 6 - 9:33 pmI evaluated the Tribute after 400 miles earlier here. I have dutifully, every fill up, recorded fuel consumption for over 5000 miles now. The mileage is incredible and I have only done a few minor things to it --put in a K&N filter (at 4000 mi) and Mobil 1 at 3000 mi. Here are the stats: overall avg. mpg 28.5. High: 33.11 mpg, low 25.5 mpg. On last tank full, averaged 32.6 (90% highway). If I drive between 60 & 65 and get it into 5th at 30 mph, I can get 32+. Between 65 & 70, I can get 30-32 mpg. Driven between 70 & 75, 28-30 mpg is possible. Above 75, it tails off as you would expect. This has got to be the most economical small SUV with a stick shift. Very pleased with it.
