This Year's Model Updates:

Trim levels are shuffled and changed. The Sport becomes the entry-level model, while the other trims in the 2007 Mazda 6 family are revised, with the new Sport Value Edition, Touring and Grand Touring completing the lineup. Increasing the value proposition is the addition of more safety features across the line, with front side and side curtain airbags now standard on every 6.

Pros:
  • Fun to drive, slick-shifting manual transmission, smooth power delivery, attractive design inside and out, availability of hatchback and wagon body styles.
Cons:

  • Very nice - 2007 Mazda Mazda6

I drive quite a bit a year, I reviewed the 2007 Altima, and the Subaru Legacy. Altogether I found that the Mazda 6 had way more to offer for the money.

  • Excellent Car, cant be beat for the $$ - 2007 Mazda Mazda6

This is my 4th Mazda; out of those four this is my second Mazda 6. I opted out of my 2006 sedan and into a 2007 hatchback because I like the look of the hatchback better. After shopping other brands (from Nissan and Toyota, to Mercedes and BMW) I decided to stick with Mazda. Its simply a sporty looking car at a great price, loaded with options you would get nickel and dimed for on other brands. I couldnt be happier with Mazda #4. The Volcanic red looks great on the road. :-)

  • Great daily driver - 2007 Mazda Mazda6

Over all the car is great. Im averaging 28 to 30 MPG mostly all city driving starting and stopping I usually cut the car and restart it about 15 times a day.

  • A Great Car So Far - 2007 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

Bought the i Touring automatic in July, and have 8500 miles already. The only complaints so far are that acceleration is sluggish with the A/C on, and that the A/C doesnt blow as cold as Im used to. This is a great family hauler with sporty looks; much more masculine than the Accord/Passat/Camry/Sonata bunch. Averaging 27 mpg in mixed driving and 32 in straight highway driving. So far, Im pleased.

  • Bulletproof! - 2007 Mazda Mazda6

In 2011 when I got this car, it was my sweet sixteen gift, so of course it was the coolest thing on the road ( at least in my opinion ). It came from the local Ford dealership with 142k miles on the odometer. Now, three and a half years later, it has 176k miles. And not a single mechanical issue - the drivetrain is absolutely rock-solid. Cosmetically, the car does suffer a bit. The front bumper mustve been painted with hair-dye, the the headliner had to be applied using Elmers Glue - just appalling. Not to mention, the projector headlights perform like theyve got cataracts. Although the engine is lethargic, its a hoot to drive. I swear its on rails.

I love my 6! This is the first time Ive purchased a Mazda and its been great. I get about 24 MPG. in the city and about 30 MPG. on the highway so its pretty decent and its got a really big tank.

  • Great Car, Limited Features - 2007 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

This Car was my first "newer" car.Its looks were just amazing. It was sporty yet family friendly. As I have drove the car for the past year ive noticed that it has few features compared to a competition car such as a AUX port and automatic lights. It has also been having popping noise like a motor mount is went out. Its a great comfy car but it seems maybe it needed a little more built into it!

  • This is my 2nd 6s - 2007 Mazda Mazda6

I bought this car to replace my 2003 6s, which my brother now owns. I put 97,000, mostly highway miles on it in just under 4 years. I loved the car! The 2007 is as close a replacement as I could get. However if I could get a new 2003 instead I would have. I prefer the 16 in wheels, the 5 speed automatic (the 6 spd downshifts at very modest hills and get the same mileage), the key/remote is way too big, and a number of small amenities in the interior have been dropped. The only thing I like better is the smoother frequency response of the new speakers: I find the 6 CD changer to be a pain, though. All that said, I still love the car, just not as much as my 2003!

  • A great car for the money - 2007 Mazda Mazda6

Lovely, sporty, a great car for the money. I got this car with incentives. The total came to about $18,000 total with a 6 year extended warranty. (Seems Mazda provides a cheaper extended warranty than some other brands).

  • Still Great After 31,000 Miles! - 2007 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

I still love this car. Only complaint is Ive needed two alignments and gotta but new tires now. Breakaway mirrors and a bit better gas mileage would have been nice. But other than those quibbles, the comfort and handling and the sheer fun of driving remains exceptional. So much cooler than all the Camrys and Accords out there. Really sad Mazda ended the hatchback line in 07 -- big mistake! That rear space is so convenient for hauling stuff, and the hatchback actually looks better than the Sedan IMO. Id definitely buy this car again!
