Overview & Reviews
New hatchback and wagon body styles are scheduled as midyear additions. Minor adjustments to the 6's optional equipment packages are the only other changes for 2004.
- More fun to drive than most family sedans, slick shifting manual transmission, smooth power delivery, nicely appointed interior, multiple body styles.

2nd time around - 2004 Mazda Mazda6
By tdogg - January 23 - 10:00 amThis is my 2nd new Mazda. My 1992 MX6 was a piece of junk. I hope this car is built better. I have a 6i 5 door, auto, luxy package,6CD Bose. I ordered the car with roof and sercurity package , but Mazda could not fill that order. The roof and alarm were put in at the dealer. The gas milage is good. 28 mpg highway. The car is fun to drive and gets a lot of looks.

Great Value - 2004 Mazda Mazda6
By Captain9001 - January 16 - 2:00 amIve loved the looks of the Mazda6 since I first saw one on the road. Excellent interior and exterior design. Great V6 and manual transmission. The ride is rather harsh. Small bumps in the road seem somewhat exaggerated by the suspension. Small creeks and rattles are evident on the interior when going over these bumps (noises in the B- pillar, the doors, and behind the audio/HVAC panel). The Bose system is awesome, but buzzes are definately noticable in the doors and handles when the bass is turned up above a medium level. Love, the car, wish the build was a little more solid.

Lucky Number Seven - 2004 Mazda Mazda6
By jobow - December 17 - 10:00 amOur seventh Mazda -- A terrific vehicle, much fun to drive. This may be Mazdas best car ever, and it really turns heads. The only, and we mean only, criticism we have is that the manual tranny is difficult to shift into first -- too little gas and it wants to lug and too much gas makes it bolt (the clutch is too sensitive as you try to get underway). Be sure to check out the new hatchback -- it is so versatile, and it is the only hatchback sedan available in America now. We expect a lot from a vehicle, and this ride does not dissappoint!

By mdkcs5 - December 17 - 10:00 amThis car is fun to drive and more importantly it is number 1 in consumer reports safety tests. My kids are learning to drive a stick and we are having a blast!

The Other 6 - 2004 Mazda Mazda6
By La Otra 6 - December 1 - 8:30 pmThis is our 2nd Mazda6 purchase in the last 9 months (see 5 doors of fun - we previously purchased the 5-door hatch). The wagon is just as quick and as much fun to drive and I think the wagon has a quieter ride. Braking and handling is very good, wagon corners like our hatch as well. At 65" tall, I have all of the room I need. The leather seats are a godsend in Cleveland winters. The car looks fantastic. We receive many compliments on the 6s, from its styling to the great colors (the wagon is Steel Metallic Gray, hatch is the Blazing Copper)! If you dont want plain vanilla (Accord or Camry), grab a 6 and enjoy the zoom-zoom experience!

Jims Review - 2004 Mazda Mazda6
By Greek7 - November 4 - 10:00 amThe Mazda 6 is fun to drive and very comfortable. The dash design and controls are great to view. I notice people constantly looking in and out of the car when it is parked.

Love it so far - 2004 Mazda Mazda6
By hbomb - October 29 - 10:00 amNeeded to get out of an SUV, and saw a sport wagon as a perfect opportunity. Compared this to Volvo V40 & VW Passat Wagon, and this one beat them both on ride, handling, and looks. Solid road manners, superb acceleration. Priced to sell

Great Wagon! - 2004 Mazda Mazda6
By Jahnu - October 24 - 2:50 amI bought the sport wagon Auto. few days back with lxry pkg, sport pkg, bose audio, side airbags anad pwr mnrf. and I love the way it handles. More space, easy ingress/outgress, comfortable seating position, more leg room for back passengers than the Subaru Outback. Got a great price $4500 below invoice. Also considered Accord but the dealers were so arrogant did not even acknowledge my internet pricing request. Great Saleswoman and was very impressed with the dealership. No hassles and transaction was very smooth. Great car for a great price, camry, accord, altima dont even come close. Outback is too pricey. Great Styling. Easy to use controls. Cant believe a wagon can look so sporty!
