This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Mazda 3 sees a number of changes. Although these include a minor exterior refresh involving mainly the taillights, most are more functional. Now standard on all Mazda 3s are a tire-pressure monitor, an auxiliary input jack for the stereo, a rear-seat center armrest and an additional power point in the console. A stability control system becomes available on the Touring and Grand Touring trims.

Pros:
  • Athletic handling, refined engines, strong brakes, sharp styling, top-notch build and materials quality, hatchback utility.
Cons:
  • Top safety equipment either optional or on higher trims, tight rear legroom, so-so fuel economy with 2.3-liter engine.

  • Good All-Around Car - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

Ive had this car for almost a year and have enjoyed it very much. It is very comfortable and stylish and is a pleasure to drive. For being a naturally aspirated 4-banger, it also performs pretty well. It is a great daily driver that I am very proud to own.

I love my little car. Great fuel mileage and has never given me a bit of trouble. My only complaint is the suspension package. Sporty handling, but what the dealer fails to tell you is about the tire wear. The Mazda mechanic didnt even know this...The wheels have a negative camber, meaning they tilt inward at the top for better gripping and handling. This also causes uneven tire wear. I was fortunate that my tires lasted 40k miles but the far inside tread was completely bald. I hope I can get than many miles out of this second set. Buyer should be made aware.

Great car, very reliable and fuel efficient if its use in normal traffic (not stop and go).

  • Love my new 07 Mazda3 S - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

I just bought my 07 Mazda3 S in May and love it! I drove 2 different Toyota Celicas my whole life and loved them but wanted a car that was still sporty and with 4 doors. I think the Mazda3 is hands down the best car out there right now for what I was looking for. I was going to look at a Toyota Corolla but the look just does not compare to the Mazda3.

  • "Almost" Perfect - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

I purchased this car 5 weeks ago and I am very happy overall. Its fun to drive, has plenty of extras for the price, handles/rides like a dream, and looks sexy. For almost a year, I had been searching for something in the small car class that wasnt just gonna blend into the crowd. While at the same time, offering near best in class quality, performance, and handling. I believe Ive found that car in the Mazda3s Grand Touring 5-door. Mazda deserves accolades for pushing the bar higher in a segment that usually inspires boredom. Keep up the good work Mazda.

  • Peppy Little Sucker! - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

We got this car brand new back in 2006. 6 years and less than 33,000 miles later (wasnt used often until the second half of ownership), this car is quite the joy! The 2.3L engine has plenty of get up and go w/ a perfectly sensitive throttle and brake pedal. Brakes bite really well, but seem to fade kind of quick with repeated use. 5AT works well, but dont expect it to be butter smooth. The ride is firm, but not enough to make lunch run back out. Ive gotten 26 city/34 hwy. Handling is this cars best trait! Turn-in is EXCELLENT, with plenty of steering feedback and response. But I dont like the "floaty" feeling when taking corners spiritedly and there is a bump/ridge mid-corner.

This car has it all. Most luxuries are included in this car. The stereo kicks, the dashboard and gauges look awesome, and the car looks AMAZING from the outside. Ive got the Purple Phantom color and it is mean looking. Highly recommended. A+++

  • love it! - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

Wife purchased 3 years ago and we both love this car. Very reliable trouble free 3 years. Has the options usually found on cars costing much more. 2.3 L engine very strong. Blizzaks for winter are awesome - they handle snow/ice better than my pathfinder. Lease about to end and will definitely buy it!

  • The unexpected... 2,000 miles later - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

Steering wheel feels great to grip. Does not feel like a front wheel drive car. Manual shifter is not only slick but has good insulation, almost no noise or vibration! 2.3L engine is smooth and powerful but gas mileage is not good, about 24 mpg (combined driving). Pretty roomy inside for a small car. Not much room for drivers feet, gas pedal and brake pedal are too close together. (This is with manual trans.) Standard single disc CD stereo sounds great, better than that in my 06 Lexus GS 300! Horn is too weak, a safety concern! Most unexpected: I still CRAVE to drive it, although I have been driving for 35 years and have sampled over 10,000 cars as a mechanic!

  • Former Camry Owner Loves the Mazda3 - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

I was tired of driving my "old lady" Camry and when I found this Mazda3, I had to have it. I chose the smaller engine for better fuel economy and added the sunroof option and a rear spoiler. This is a great looking car and so much fun to drive.
