The 2007 Mazda 3 sees a number of changes. Although these include a minor exterior refresh involving mainly the taillights, most are more functional. Now standard on all Mazda 3s are a tire-pressure monitor, an auxiliary input jack for the stereo, a rear-seat center armrest and an additional power point in the console. A stability control system becomes available on the Touring and Grand Touring trims.

  I bought my 07 new in March of that year. In 4 1/2 years only scheduled maintenance was required. It has proven to be even more reliable than my previous Honda Civic over the same near 5-year period. The hatchback offers versatility and the engine is punchy while still offering respectable mpg. The interior quality compares favorably with other vehicles in this price category. You can probably pick up a decent used one in the $10K to $12K range depending on condition/mileage, which makes it a very competitive car in the small hatchback category. The 3 Hatch seems to offer that perfect mating of reliability and functionality with a small dose of sportiness.

  This is the best handling compact sedan I have ever driven. BMW like drive for 1/3 of the price. Giving up some MPG to Civic was well worth it. The "fun to drive" factor zoom-zooms Mazda ahead of Civic.

  This car is great and very fun to drive. The 2.3L gets about 26 city and about 32 hwy mpg. The trunk is large for the size of the car. The Bose audio is a nice and sounds GREAT! This car has great handling and smooth riding. I love this car.

  This is the first time I have ever had a brand new car. I bought the Mazda3 SGT in Mica Black, and I skimped on the navigation, but got everything else. The car is amazing! My only complaint is it is hard to keep clean, and those low-profile tires make me feel EVERYTHING on the road. Even after the 7500 miles Ive put on it.

  I purchased this car last feb because of its affordability, fuel economy, and appearance. I feel that the Mazda3 has exceeded all my expectations in comparison to all the other economy vehicles. Its fast and I dont feel like Im driving a piece of junk.

  So far i love my car. The car drives great, shifts smooth and looks great in the aurora blue color I have. So far my MPG is around 28-30.

  Have had the car almost a year and have enjoyed the handling. The very first thing is the fuel mileage is very poor. In town is 20.7 and interstate is 25, not at all what I expected from a 2.0 engine. Took a trip to AZ and was surprised at handling in traffic, and it felt roomy. I found nothing extra in the mountains as far as power. I guess the engine is a little small, which brings me back to poor mileage. I love the dash at night, doesnt blind me when driving.

  I bought it in Feb 2007. Its a great car - and I would recommend it. A big issue with me is I wanted to get the car in light blue, but interior was an ugly beige, so got it in gray with black interior. I cant do beige upholstery - I hate it. Got the car with the ABS & side airbags as well, which was optional equipment at the time. Also, I really wanted the 5 door, even though the back end of the 5 door is kinda frumpy, but 5 door only comes in the S Model. The car handles well, the stick is real fun to drive, and has good acceleration. I think I am getting about 27-28 MPG. I like the fabric used on the upholstery, but the carpeting seems cheap. The car has a good solid feel to it.

  I have been very happy with the reliability, power, and comfort of this car but disappointed with the poor fuel economy.

  Kinda stumbled onto this vehicle by accident. We were set to replace our 97 Jetta with a new one but we were not happy with changes VW made. Next looked at the Rabbit, but reviews kept mentioning the Mazda3. We figured it couldnt hurt to at least look at the Mazda3. Wow! We were instantly impressed with it! Its an amazingly fun and agile car. Every aspect of this car feels solid. No rattles or squeaks. The doors feel solid, the controls and gauges are easy to read/use. Initial mpg was a bit low, but with over 2500 miles now, were getting better mpg each tankful. Lots of room in trunk area, good driving position and visibility.
