This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Mazda 3 sees a number of changes. Although these include a minor exterior refresh involving mainly the taillights, most are more functional. Now standard on all Mazda 3s are a tire-pressure monitor, an auxiliary input jack for the stereo, a rear-seat center armrest and an additional power point in the console. A stability control system becomes available on the Touring and Grand Touring trims.

Pros:
  • Athletic handling, refined engines, strong brakes, sharp styling, top-notch build and materials quality, hatchback utility.
Cons:
  • Top safety equipment either optional or on higher trims, tight rear legroom, so-so fuel economy with 2.3-liter engine.

  • Well done - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

The good parts: Smooth shifting, and clutch action that is really nice. I was worried about the light clutch action before I drove it, but it really engages nice. Solid feeling car. Tight handling, and still an ample amount of boost on the power steering. Sometimes smaller cars have been reducing the amount of power steering boost so much it’s hard to tell they even have it. Nice to see all 07 Mazdas have an audio in jack for your iPod. Sure, it just sends a non-intelligent audio signal, but hey, it’s better than nothing. Great styling. Vanity stinks, but I have to say that in this case, I’m sure glad I went with the best looking car in its class.

  • I have a Mazdaspeed3 and a 3 Sedan - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

I personally own a Mazdaspeed3 hatchback and my wife enjoyed the sedan enough to want to get a sedan so we bought one. The interior on both is very nice and almost identical. My wife loves the look of this car and it is a very sport car with nice interior and looks on the outside. I had to add a rear wing to make it look sportier and upgraded my wifes interior lighting to LEDs and upgraded her headlights to HID as well as upgraded the rims to 18-inch. The stock 16s are really ugly and too narrow so the fenders stuck out like crazy, adding wider and larger rims made a difference. Also the rearend is too high up so we had to install rear springs to drop the back down a bit to even it out.

I love this car. It is a small car on the outside and a luxury car on the inside. Everything in it is comfortable. I got features that I thought only came in luxury models.

This is a driver oriented compact car, Ive had a lot of fun driving it these 9 months but it sacrifices some comfort for handling. Exterior and interior styling is the best in the segment, its a very sharp looking little car. The fuel economy needs to be worked on though, Im only getting 20 MPG in the city, very disappointing. Also, there is a lot more hard plastic than the Civic, but it is put together very well. Even though the Civic has some advantages over the Mazda, I would still pick the 3.

  • This car Rocks! - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

Bought this as my first brand new car back in 07. In the three years I have owned this car I have had no problems with it. I changed the oil and rotated tires, thats about it. The BOSE systems is pretty decent, but remember it is a stock system. I know a lot of reviews say this car sucks in the snow and rain, it doesnt if you have a good set of tires. The stock tires that came with this car were awful. I live in Colorado and snowboard religiously, I take my 3 up all the time and this car has never let me down. I did however go to tirerack and bought a 4 winter tires mounted on 16 inch wheels which fit the car well. This added the rubber needed for good traction in the winter.

Fun, extremely tossable hatchback. And you would not believe how much cargo this vehicle can hold with the seats folded down. Its my wifes car, but I feel lucky when shes out of town and I can drive it a bit.

  • Best car for the money on the market now - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

Since buying this car early this year I have had an excellent experience. The fuel milage has been consistantly fantastic and the handling is awesome! Im so impressed with this vehicle that Im going to be purchasing another one in a month. Even with all the economic advantages of this car it still has a high performance ability for the road {ZOOM-ZOOM}.

Just traded in my 2006 Tacoma for the Mazda3. Wow. What a ride. The performance and handling of this car put it so far ahead of the others in the class (can you hear me Honda, Toyota, Ford, etc?). Mines brand new, but Im already averaging 31 mpg. It is such a blast to drive, and surprisingly roomy inside considering how small it looks. When you first sit in this car, you feel like youre in a more expensive class of vehicle. Everything is rock-solid and extremely well put together. Just simply a joy to drive and own. If a small economical car is on your wish list, youd be doing yourself a great disservice to not at least look at the Mazda3.

Just purchased a new Mazda3. Had a wonderful buying experience getting the vehicle for $300 under invoice. So far it seems like a great vehicle.

  • 56K and still going - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

It will be two years in March 09 and this car is tough. 56k and still drives like the day I drove it off the dealership lot, save for new tires at 40k and rotors that are worn, but I do push this car to the limit. I think if you are looking for a dependable used car that gets 35mpg and is fun to drive this is for you. Previously drove 97 honda civic and 93 honda civic and like the car better than previous two, much more reliable.
