Lincoln's luxury liner gets added safety in 1999 with the addition of standard side airbags for the driver and front passenger. There's also five new exterior colors, upgraded interior trim options, two new wheel designs and an improved audio system. Otherwise the Lincoln remains unchanged after its major rework in 1998.

  I love my Lincoln. The 275hp V8 is plenty to kick me up I-70 from denver. I usually do 75 at 3000ish RPM up to the Eisenhower tunnel, blazing by everything on the road. This thing does surprisingly well in bad conditions. I love all the gadgets and toys.

  We love this vehicle. We use it as a family car and there is plenty of room for two children with lots of trunk space. Milage is good for a V8 at 22 miles per gallon. The vehicle handles great and runs great. Only thing that has needed to be done after 126000 miles was brakes and wheelbearings. Love the vehicle, hard to compare to others.

  Im really sorry to learn that this car will no longer be built. I was looking forward to purchasing a new one. The car rides great, looks great and has very good performance. For a car of its size, it also gets pretty good gas mileage.

  I absolutely love my 1999 Lincoln Continental, however, I have had an annoying transmission alert from the computer indicating a problem and then obvious lurching at 30-40 mph. Dealer checked it out a half dozen times at least and it is still going on. It is under warranty and we are dealing now on a new transmission to correct the problem.

  I have owned several Licolns in my life, but the 1999 Continental has exceeded every expectation. Its comfort and beauty meet any expectation of luxury and its performance and handling are outstanding. I am anxious to see what Lincoln has in store for the 2004 model.

  I bought a 1999 from an elderly woman a couple years ago with 40,000 miles on it and have only put $800. dollars into it after 50,000 miles for new Michelins and rotors and pads. Minor glitches I have fixed myself, but no cronic problems. The car now has almost 90,000 miles on it. Am trying to find another one with the center console shifter and a 2002 model.

  After having owned this used vehicle for a year, I can say it is a good used car purchase for the value. Drove from Michigan to Houston, TX and back. It is comfortable on long drives and does well at highway speeds. It is sporty on stop and go traffic as well. Bought extended warranty from Warrantybynet and still have not used it. It is nice to have the peace of mind. Now has 72K miles on it. Plan to keep it for a while to get return on investment. It has features that a similarly priced new vehicle would not have. The V8 Intech engine has a good track record and it has been reliable for me.

  The Lincoln Continental has been one of the most enjoyable, low cost per mile luxury autos Ive ever owned. It now has over 130,000 miles on the car and does not leak anything - still gets 25-26 mpg on the highway. It has been one of the least expensive luxury cars to maintain that Ive ever owned. I put Michelin Hydroedge tires on the car and it handles better than when new! Wish Lincoln still manufactured this automobile. Not too large, not too small. Wonderful automobile!

  We bought our 1999 Continental about 2 years ago for $7,500. Low mileage on the car when we bought it. Weve had no trouble with the car at all. Good power, nice-looking, decent gas mileage, large trunk, comfortable for 5, just the right size.
