This Year's Model Updates:

Minor upgrades are in store for the Sedona in its second year on the market. On the outside, buyers will find new taillights, and in the cabin, you'll note a new audio faceplate and a remote fuel-door release. The LX model gets a CD player, while the EX now comes with two keyless remotes, as well as additional leather on the armrests and lower portions of the seats. A trailer hitch is now available for all Sedonas.

Pros:
  • Excellent value, lots of cupholders and storage bins, solid build quality, good crash test scores, lengthy warranty coverage.
Cons:
  • Hefty curb weight, below-average gas mileage, missing a few key minivan features, potentially expensive to repair in minor collisions.

5 months, and fewer than 5,000 miles. Absolutely no problems, and no complaints. Be advised, gas mileage on EPA sticker is not overstated: gear ratios selected to provide power are paid for in somewhat lower fuel economy. A very well designed and built vehicle.

  • Best minivan I have ever owned - 2003 Kia Sedona
    By -

I have owned one of every minivan on the market (with the exception of the Honda)over the past 10 years, this one is by far my favorite. The hefty weight gives a strong feeling of stability and security on the road. The engine is a perfect match for the size of the vehicle. Acceleration is as good or better than the 2001 Cougar that I traded for it.

  • Great Van for the price - 2003 Kia Sedona

So far, this mini-van has performed really well and rides really smooth. Im not too happy with the gas mileage. It seems like Im filling up every other day. For the price range & the amenities, the Kia Sedona is worth it. I recommend it!!!

  • Driving fun. - 2003 Kia Sedona

Driving my Sedona mini-van is always a pleasure. Getting on the inter-state from a ramp is no problem at all with the power it has, and passing is also easy. Although the gas mileage is not the best,I"ll swap that for the power.

  • Save about ten grand - 2003 Kia Sedona

Its a Minivan and at about ten thousand less than a comparably equipped anything else its agreat deal. The build quality is great the warranty is great, its got a five speed auto and a pretty lively v6. Its not a porsche its a minivan, sorta like buying a toothbrush, something you just gotta have. And to my surprise I like driving it as much as my other no kids get to go to work in it German thing. Maybe Ill replace my car with a Kia Optima, so well have matching Kias!!

  • When compared to Odyssey.. - 2003 Kia Sedona

Bought my Sedona in NOVEMBER OF 2003. I couldnt put 2003 on the date purchased window. Cars great. Drives well. Havent driven much. When I got it, it had 8 miles. It has now aboutj 220 miles. So far, it drives well. I think, the steering is a bit too sensitive. Rear seats, kinda vibrate too much producing the vibration noise. Over all the minivan is excellent.

I have owned the Sedona about a year having put 18000 miles on it. I have found it a pleasing van to drive and ride in. The dealer service has been excellent and have had no mechanical probblems. I think its a good value for the money.

  • I love my Kia!! - 2003 Kia Sedona

This is the easiest minivan to drive, my sister who is intimidated with the size of minivans said it was easy to handle. It has a great turn radius, handles the road extreemely well.....I just wish it got a little better gas mileage. The CD player is great..... And I love where the shifter is located. I also like the light indication for each gear as opposed to the needle indicator. This is a well designed minivan, I love it. I have own a 1993 Mercury Villager, 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan, 2002 Chrystler Town and Country and now a 2003 Kia, and I love this one the most!!!!! (the 95 Dodge Caravan is in last place)

  • tooo many trips back to the shop - 2003 Kia Sedona

the truth of the matter is......Sedona is a nice van..that rides well....but a lot of things, little as they may be, go wrong with it. I mean, I have been back to the shop at least 12 times in just 6 months. Yes, it is true...but these are things that the dealer has to fix...like power seats, windows, mirrors, etc. So...if you dont want to go to the shop all time....look else where. My parents caravan is never in the shop....
