Overview & Reviews
Second-row captain's chairs are now available on the LX, while all models get larger rear drum brakes.
- Excellent value, roomy interior with lots of cupholders and storage bins, solid build quality, lengthy warranty coverage.
- Handling and steering response could be better, missing a few key minivan features, ABS not standard, below-average fuel mileage.

Best buy for the money - 2005 Kia Sedona
By David Cowan - November 25 - 12:23 amI really looked at foreign and domestic vans and chose the Sedona for value, warranty and the interior design.. Cup holders everywhere, two glove boxes, plus front seats that adjust to any position, as well as comfortable second and third row seats. The 6 cylinder gets only 15mpg around town and 3 trips from Dayton to Atlanta average 22MPG; not bad but the powerful and smooth engine is worth the lower MPG. The value is still there as prices were out the door for $16,000 and the van is loaded with features; any thing else was $22,000 to $28,000 for same features.

dont understand what this is - 2005 Kia Sedona
By Hank Bossung - July 26 - 7:30 amGreat van. Price was good with rebates, much lower than competition. No problems with vehicle whatsoever other than having to have a windshield wiper replaced.

We love ours - 2005 Kia Sedona
By Kris - June 11 - 8:53 amExcept for the low miles per gallon, we like our Sedona. We were in a minor wreck and because it is quite a sturdy van, you can barely tell. We used to have a Ford Windstar, and in that particular wreck, we would have seen a lot of crumpling. For the low price, this is an excellent choice.

A great 1st Minivan - 2005 Kia Sedona
By sirjohn113 - May 10 - 12:43 amThis is a great first minivan. With our 2nd child arriving we had to get a bigger vehicle. We priced out other minivans & they all came up way out of our budget except this one. This van is affordable & within reach of the average family. With the standard features & price, made it a great buy! Its comfortable & our family loves it. Im sure you can find more refined & luxurious minivans out there, but for more money! It drives great, its fairly powerful, & comfortable on long trips. Plus the long warranty & 5 star rating from the NHTSA makes it an exceptional value. Dont rely too much on Consumer Reports or auto enthusiasts reviews, take the opinion from someone who owns one.

Surprised - 2005 Kia Sedona
By chipface - November 3 - 10:13 amWent shopping for our first mini van on a Saturday. We were armed with prices and knew what each company had to offer. We narrowed it down to the Mazda MVP or the Kia. One drive was all it took. Than we dealt and the price blew us away. It stickered fully equipped at over $27,000. We got it for just over $20,000. And still had rebates left.

2005 Sedona - 2005 Kia Sedona
By packardman47 - October 6 - 8:43 amI especially like the body style on the exterior. This is not a foreign design, but a very pleasing multi-national one. I have owned a Mopar minivan and had high praises for it, but this is better than the 89 we had.

Love it - 2005 Kia Sedona
By Perry White - October 2 - 3:33 amI love this van. They the reviewers keep commenting on the weight. As far as power for the weight I have no problem she gets to the interstate speeds real quick. I think when Kia is around for a while and skeptics like me buy them then watch out all the optioned out overpriced competition. The way I see it the competition is going to do all they can to make Kia look bad. If you stay out of the pedal you can stretch the so so gas milage. Nice ride, nice handling and more power than I am going to need. Oh I forgot the interior is not gaudy and just enough for the average non show-off. Traded in a Spectra 2002 60000 on it loved it also.Kia will bring the resale value with time. Good job.

Shes My Work Horse - 2005 Kia Sedona
By yankeegirl89 - December 7 - 10:03 amThis Van Currently has 123,000+ miles on it and counting, weve used it to haul all my kids to their games and meets, move their stuff to their college dorms and apartments. We have moved furniture, appliances, taken trips, been all over in it, shes been old reliable. Havent had any problems with this van, I would buy another one were it not for the fact that in another year I wont need to be moving anymore kids and I can downsize again finally.

LOVE MY KIA - 2005 Kia Sedona
By Tori - November 26 - 10:26 pmWe love this minivan! Weve owned it for nearly a year, and it is so pretty, so reliable, so perfect! We havent had a single problem, and it drives like a dream. I am so pleased we were able to afford all the extra features we wanted, like a sun roof and leather, without breaking the bank. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this vehicle!

Good van - 2005 Kia Sedona
By busmunoz - September 5 - 10:58 amBought the van used in 2009, and other than the required maintenance I never had to fix a thing. I love this van. I put about 75,000 miles on it and it is more reliable than any new car I ever bought.
