Overview & Reviews
The Jeep Liberty's Renegade trim has been discontinued for 2007. Also, the 2.8-liter diesel engine is no longer available.
- Extremely capable off-road, high tow capacity.
- V6 is rather thirsty at the pump, not as "carlike" on the street as most of its competitors.

I bought this used with 110000 miles on it in 2010 - 2007 Jeep Liberty
By Kim Gilliland - February 26 - 11:37 amI just traded this in with 165000 miles on it. Aside from normal wear and tear the only problems I had with this car was the a/c never worked and my mechanic didnt want to mess with it, the electric windows in the backseat both quit working. It also made a banging noise while driving past 50mph sometimes but it wouldnt make the noise when my mechanic was in the car and I never broke down because of it. I am upset that Jeep quit making these because everyone that I know who have/had them love em and I would definitely buy another one. I upgraded to a brand new Cherokee and well see how this goes.

Bad Windows - 2007 Jeep Liberty
By Janet G - February 23 - 6:46 amI love our Liberty. We take it just about everywhere, yet the windows on the driver side no longer work. The window lost its ability to go up and down and will be expensive to have it fixed. I tried searching for recalls but to no avail. I am glad that I am not the only one with this problem. The problem with the windows is a vehicle problem and not the owners fault.

whats going on with my car!? please help - 2007 Jeep Liberty
By mcvallee91 - December 27 - 12:14 pmIve owned my 2007 Jeep Liberty Sport 4dr rwd for six months now, previously was used as lease and rental vehicle. since purchasing the vehicle, I have replaced the brake light housing, front right window, and motor and regulator to front driver side window. Just this evening my vehicle stalled on me. It is an automatic vehicle and I always change the oil just shy of 3,000 miles using mid grade oil. Anyone having similar problems? why is my car stalling?

Window Regulator Problems Liberty 2007 - 2007 Jeep Liberty
By JM - October 25 - 10:33 amWindow regulator, window regulator, window regulator, at about $500 a piece, w/ the possibility of replacing all 4, not good, not good at all. What can I say, I expected more from Chrysler on a problem that seems to be very very common. Acknowledgment and reimbursement is probably a good idea, if not, Chrysler will probably lose many future customers.

its a jeep! - 2007 Jeep Liberty
By starrdog - August 10 - 3:01 ambought the car with 74000 miles. the ride is a bit rough compared to other suvs. comfortable but the drivers seat should be better. pretty nice interior and exterior. power is good so is the torque. i think it would feel better including the steering feel with wider tires. its a jeep so the ruggedness is there. i like it because an suv should drive and feel like an suv. it shouldnt drive like a car thats how you can drive beyond the capacity of your vehicle and make mistakes like an accident. i dont think you will be disappointed with this suv. the seat do stain so be careful . outside of that its a very cool very good suv that does everything pretty good.

Fun but Maybe Unsafe - 2007 Jeep Liberty
By KAP 10 - May 19 - 6:16 pmI had my liberty for a year and a half and absolutely loved it, minus a few problems with the windows. However, I recently ran off the road, hit a culvert, took a nose dive, and then flipped. My airbags did not go off, even thought I took a nose dive. Also, my seat belt never locked. The car did holdup well and all 4 doors still opened easily, even though I ended up up side down. But the seat belt should have at least locked, this was very dangerous.

Surprisingly good - 2007 Jeep Liberty
By Jim S - May 15 - 4:20 pmHi, I bought my jeep as my first new car. Its been reliable, has a great 4wd system that allows shift on the fly at 50 mph! Its the limited with all the bells and whistles - which is the only downfall. Though a steal price versus options, the premium sound doesnt play mp3s and the roof rack system is a step down from the Cherokee. The trunk is small. But, its reliable, does well both on and off the road, through snow, mud, and cities. parking is excellent as its the size of civic. handling is very sharp and acceleration is good

IMO Best Compact 4x4 on the market - 2007 Jeep Liberty
By jbusc - March 21 - 12:14 amThis is my third Liberty Limited all equipped with the 3.7 V6, automatic transmission and select-trac 4WD system. This Liberty is also equipped with factory navigation and a 6 disc CD changer. In my opinion the Liberty at least the 2002-2007 models are the most rugged compact SUVs available. Mine gets reasonable mpgs - 18+ overall and low to mid 20s highway. Much better than any of my Wranglers did. I find it very comfortable, and it meets my needs of a growing family perfectly. I find the styling attractive both inside and out. I love the heated leather seats and thoughtful touches such as the rear grocery bag hooks.

My 2007 Jeep Liberty - 2007 Jeep Liberty
By juliaann28 - January 15 - 9:57 amI have owned my Liberty for almost 2 years now. As far as reliability, its been a great SUV. I have had two of my window regulators replaced (no cost to me). And have noticed how easy the interior is to stain. Not my favorite vehicle Ive ever owned, but a decent one.

ITS A JEEP ! - 2007 Jeep Liberty
By RHW - December 22 - 11:00 pmI like this liberty, its my first. Ive owned cherokees, grand cherokees, wranglers and good ol cjs. Every one did what I expected and nothing I didnt. Some of these reviews whine about fuel mileage or ride comfort, if you want 50 mpg and a soft ride.... Buy a prius! Of course youll get stuck on wet Grass and wreck it in a 2 inch deep road rut! I bought a Jeep to use like a Jeep! The liberty gets acceptable mileage considering the gearing / suspension / aerodynamics of the vehicle and the ride is good for something that has the off road abilities it does! Fine auto/ deserves the Jeep name !
