Overview & Reviews
All 2004 Jeep Libertys now feature a passenger-side grab handle and a power accessory delay feature, while Renegade models get additional rock rail protection and black accent body side moldings. New options include UConnect, Chrysler's hands-free in-vehicle communication system, a tire-pressure monitoring system and a cargo organizer. Safety is enhanced thanks to a system that unlocks doors, illuminates interior courtesy lights and shuts off the fuel pump after airbag deployment. A new trim -- the Jeep Liberty Columbia Edition -- has been introduced, offering 16-inch graphite-painted aluminum wheels; graphite-painted fascias and body moldings; body-colored fender flares; a sun roof; fog lamps; and Columbia badging.
- Extremely capable off-road, creative interior design, still a Jeep at heart.
- Thirsty at the gas pump, not as "carlike" on the street as most of its competitors.

bad to good - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By nattasha - February 5 - 2:00 amI had a 2001 jeep cherokee sport, last year made, poor quality... could tell it was one of the last. Had a 1998 and the quality was much better. The liberty has a much more sound build. Things seem to fit better together. The comfort of the seats are also better. Gas, ulk I really thought it would be a little more efficient than it is. I really like it.

The Wifes Jeep - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Ray Alex - January 31 - 10:00 amIt took a while to talk her away from a PT Cruiser, but shes glad I did. This is just a grwat little ride, but you have to remember it IS a Jeep. If you want a ride like a 300M then you should buy a 300M,

Jeep Man - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Matthew W Odle - January 24 - 10:00 amI own a loaded Jeep Renegade now one year old. My family loves this Jeep although we dont care for filling up at the gas pumps. A few squeaks and rust spots on the wheels. Truly love this vehicle except for a few minor things.

Saved me in a rollover - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By siii - December 5 - 12:29 amI loved loved loved my Jeep Liberty. I bought it at 108k and drove it for 2 years. I also drove it home, 500+ miles away at least once a month. The pickup and acceleration is slower than other cars, and the gas mileage was usually 20 mpg (highway). Weird noise in the rear breaks when he was running at ~30mph but it stopped over 40mph. Always had it since I changed the breaks.

Jeep - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By jimR - October 22 - 12:10 amI bought a slightly used 4wd/4cylinder Sport a year ago with only 4,000 miles on it. The 4 cylinder engine needs to be bolstered a bit to handle the weight of this vehicle. It is very sluggish without much power. Thankfully, I have a 5 speed which helps acceleration. Other than that, it is a great vehicle. Very secure feeling; lots of style both inside and out. Seats are a bit hard and there arent enough cubby holes to store things, not even an ashtray for loose change! I havent had any troubles mechanically yet. I really like the ruggedness and its great for increasing the testosterone levels! Great sound system; very good vision while driving--few blind spots.

One year and loving it. - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Craig04 - October 14 - 1:40 amI have owned my Jeep for a year now and have loved every minute of it. It is an absolute blast to drive. At this point in time, I have no complaints. Fun, fun, fun to drive. I traded tires and now have BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/As. The Jeep was great in the snow. What a mountain goat!
