Overview & Reviews
All 2004 Jeep Libertys now feature a passenger-side grab handle and a power accessory delay feature, while Renegade models get additional rock rail protection and black accent body side moldings. New options include UConnect, Chrysler's hands-free in-vehicle communication system, a tire-pressure monitoring system and a cargo organizer. Safety is enhanced thanks to a system that unlocks doors, illuminates interior courtesy lights and shuts off the fuel pump after airbag deployment. A new trim -- the Jeep Liberty Columbia Edition -- has been introduced, offering 16-inch graphite-painted aluminum wheels; graphite-painted fascias and body moldings; body-colored fender flares; a sun roof; fog lamps; and Columbia badging.
- Extremely capable off-road, creative interior design, still a Jeep at heart.
- Thirsty at the gas pump, not as "carlike" on the street as most of its competitors.

My First SUV! - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Lindabird - December 21 - 2:00 amAlways being a "small car" person, I was really nervous about buying a SUV because they all seemed to be way too much vehicle to handle. But not the case with my Liberty.. it is roomy and comfortable and drives like a limousine! My first, but definitely not, my last Jeep Liberty. I also get many compliments on how cute it is (I have the Sport model), which makes me feel even better when Im out on the roads competing with all the much higher priced, but not better-looking or better-riding SUVs.

Jeep Liberty Columbia Edition - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Ben Moy - November 8 - 2:00 amThis vehicle is a nice combination of jeep ruggedness and stylish every day drivability. The 3.7L V6 adequately powers this rugged little SUV. Handling is a little rough around the edges, like any SUV. What it lacks in car like handling, the liberty makes up in all weather, off road capability. The part time 4WD easily handled a recent snowstorm, no doubt off roading would be a joy. The sun roof, custom wheels, speed control, chrome interior accents, two tone seats, and Columbia badging add a unique touch to my Liberty. Outside, the graphite bumpers combined with body colored wheel wells make my Columbia Edition different from Sports, and Limiteds.

2004 Renegade Liberty - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Mike - October 28 - 6:46 pmWe bought our Libert in May of 2004. After 5 years and 93000 Miles. Its safe to say this may be the most dependable and solid vehicle I have ever owned. And I have had quite a few. It is great on and off road, currently have a 2" Body Lift on it with 30" BFG ATs on it. But I did get about 85000 miles out of the original Goodyears and they still had good tread left on them. Honestly dont have any complaints about this vehicle, fun to drive, looks great, easy to maintain, nice interior features such as the window controls, door handles. Actually continues to get better fuel mileage - Currently 18.5 mpg. Definitely made me a Jeep Person.

Its a JEEP! - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Ba50mF - October 12 - 4:46 pmIve always wanted a Jeep and this has not disappointed. I bought used with 32,000 miles on it. Ive had the vehicle for 6 months now and it is excellent in the snow. Its comfortable and tall, but not too narrow of a wheelbase. The only drawback is gas mileage, but its a real suv not, a fwd wannabe. The 4wd is amazing. This is the 2nd 4wd vehicle I have owned and its excellent

myjeep - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By monsour - September 27 - 2:00 amThe Liberty provides a confident ride. When Shutting the doors you get a sense of excellent build quality. The V6 offers ample get up and go power on the highway when needed. The Select trac feature on the 4wd model of proficient in snow and sno/ice conditions and very capable off road. It was an excellent choice for me.

New Jeep owner - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Jamie Romero - September 16 - 10:00 amThis is my first jeep and if the liberty continues the way it has, this will not be my last. We traded in a suburban for this jeep. I was nervous at first, but absolutely love the jeep. That is a peppy little v-6 under the hood. The interior is great. It is one tough looking little sucker on the outside too. Gas mileage is about what the sticker said. Coming from a Suburban, we are ecstatic! Getting between 17 and 18 with a mix of hwy and city. Havent put it on the highway for a trip yet. Great incentives to buy right now too. I really like this SUV. Once we drive it a little more, Ill post another
