This Year's Model Updates:

All 2004 Jeep Libertys now feature a passenger-side grab handle and a power accessory delay feature, while Renegade models get additional rock rail protection and black accent body side moldings. New options include UConnect, Chrysler's hands-free in-vehicle communication system, a tire-pressure monitoring system and a cargo organizer. Safety is enhanced thanks to a system that unlocks doors, illuminates interior courtesy lights and shuts off the fuel pump after airbag deployment. A new trim -- the Jeep Liberty Columbia Edition -- has been introduced, offering 16-inch graphite-painted aluminum wheels; graphite-painted fascias and body moldings; body-colored fender flares; a sun roof; fog lamps; and Columbia badging.

Pros:
  • Extremely capable off-road, creative interior design, still a Jeep at heart.
Cons:
  • Thirsty at the gas pump, not as "carlike" on the street as most of its competitors.

Get a feeling of real comfort and reliability! Gas Mileage gets better with age! This vehicle, if driven with care, shud last me ten or more years!

The Jeep Liberty is one of the best driving experiences around for those who like the rugged quality of a Jeep combined with the comfort of a much higher priced SUV. I bought one after one test drive. This is alot of vehicle for the money......a real steal.

I just chose jeep liberty in Aug. I drove a number of other suvs but love the smooth easy ride of the jeep the best. I love the features inside as well. It rides like a "jeep" but feels like a luxury car inside. It handles easily, love the braking system, and is smooth and quiet on the road. The mpg really hasnt reached potential yet, as it is still really new. I am getting about 16-17 mpg. to work (city driving) better on highway. Hoping this will improve as the engine breaks in. Although thats not too bad (much better than the van I was driving).

The appearance of this new design fits very well with the intended use. It is designed to be a very addequate off road vehicle and in my opinion it does this real well. The ride is not as good as a car but very good for this type of vehicle. Handling is very good overall. The control panel is easy to visualy figure out and use. The 4wd function is well suited to most off road uses and easy to use.

Recently bought Jeep Liberty 4WD Sport. Built well, tight,no rattles. Easy to manuver off road and sure-footed. On- road, solid, truck feel, good power. Gas milage is 18 m.p.g. A lot better than my 10 m.p.g. for a 2WD Supercab truck. This wont be my last Jeep. Dealer was the best.

This was my wifes car. First things first; We loved it, its very safe and reliable, lots of room, never had any major problems with it. Only minor things or expected things like changing the tires and light bulbs. It had 78k miles on it but we lost it due to a t-bone accident. My wife was hit on the drivers side by a pickup truck and the jeep was totaled and my wife walked away with only a couple scratches and bruises. So i found that the Jeep is SAFE!

A very good vehicle in the winter. Handles very well. I dont like that the warranty is only 3 years or 36,000 miles. So if you want an extended warranty if your keeping the vehicle longer an extended warranty costs 1500 dollars. GM has 5 years or 60,000 miles on theres warranty which ever comes first but I realy think Crysler as well as Jeep has better vehicles than GM.
