Overview & Reviews
All 2004 Jeep Libertys now feature a passenger-side grab handle and a power accessory delay feature, while Renegade models get additional rock rail protection and black accent body side moldings. New options include UConnect, Chrysler's hands-free in-vehicle communication system, a tire-pressure monitoring system and a cargo organizer. Safety is enhanced thanks to a system that unlocks doors, illuminates interior courtesy lights and shuts off the fuel pump after airbag deployment. A new trim -- the Jeep Liberty Columbia Edition -- has been introduced, offering 16-inch graphite-painted aluminum wheels; graphite-painted fascias and body moldings; body-colored fender flares; a sun roof; fog lamps; and Columbia badging.
- Extremely capable off-road, creative interior design, still a Jeep at heart.
- Thirsty at the gas pump, not as "carlike" on the street as most of its competitors.

Great Choice - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By flyman - January 25 - 8:53 amI bought the Jeep for its looks. But I ended up getting a great handling, fun to drive vehicle. I was also very happy with the 0% financing. This was basically the final selling point between it and the Rav4.

My chubby jeep - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Al Marino - January 5 - 2:00 amNeeds more off the line ompf and a smoother ride. Led tail lights would be nice, as well as wider tires, but as they say ; cars are built, not made. Thank god for the aftermarket.

Best Performance SUV - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By coltsfan - October 24 - 10:00 amThis Suv has been the best car I have purchased.Being an outdoors person I enjoy taking my Liberty out for sport but also use it for daily use.I would highly recommend this SUV to anyone who wants a car with power and a SUV that will get you where you want to go.I dislike the gas mileage but I enjoy driving my Liberty so its worth the price.

So far so good!! - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By rch - October 12 - 2:00 amI love the overall apperance of this automobile. It is so cute. The interior is really spacious and comfy. I had only owned cars, 3 of them, and was getting fed up with all of them riding and pretty much looking the same. I traded in my 2002 Dodge Stratus R/T, horrible car i was so dissapointed with that car. I am so far very happy with my purchase, i like the ride it drives much better than my old car, and i like the fact that it has very little road noise. Love the white gage faces and love the clean, neat dash fixtures. Jeep is all around so far the nicest automobile i have owned!!

Jeep - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Jerry4375 - October 12 - 2:00 amGreat car with lots of power and heft in the driving feel. 3.7 6 cyl. provides a great kick. Moderate road noise with hum/whine from automatic transmission, which is a little annoying at higher speeds.

5 yrs old, 130K miles, and still going - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Amiee - October 2 - 3:13 amI love my Jeep Liberty. We bought it new from Carmax in 05 as a last years model. Weve just done regular maintenance and kept good tires on it. We have towed with it and it handles well. I stand in agreement with the other owners that it does need a larger glove box. I have had to replace the 6-disc CD changer, but only after 5 years of reliable playing. The only thing I dont like is the fastener for the sun visors. It is in reverse from the standard position and makes it hard to unhook while driving. I have actually snapped off the hook 3 times. Minor, but irritating after 5 years. Ill drive my libby till the wheels fall off.
