Overview & Reviews
All 2004 Jeep Libertys now feature a passenger-side grab handle and a power accessory delay feature, while Renegade models get additional rock rail protection and black accent body side moldings. New options include UConnect, Chrysler's hands-free in-vehicle communication system, a tire-pressure monitoring system and a cargo organizer. Safety is enhanced thanks to a system that unlocks doors, illuminates interior courtesy lights and shuts off the fuel pump after airbag deployment. A new trim -- the Jeep Liberty Columbia Edition -- has been introduced, offering 16-inch graphite-painted aluminum wheels; graphite-painted fascias and body moldings; body-colored fender flares; a sun roof; fog lamps; and Columbia badging.
- Extremely capable off-road, creative interior design, still a Jeep at heart.
- Thirsty at the gas pump, not as "carlike" on the street as most of its competitors.

I love my jeep - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By jeep - May 14 - 10:00 amI have always wanted a Jeep. I test drove this vehicle and fell in love with it. It handles nicely on the road. I like the idea of the Window conrols in the middle. That way the little ones cant "Play" with them, even with the winow locks on. The leg room is great and also has exceptional head room. I was able to get a fully loaded Jeep Cheaper than the others on the market.

Daimler Chrysler - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Poisson - April 6 - 2:00 amI have a sister who has owned Mercedes for the past 40 years. You would not believe how much Mercedes is in my Liberty. Even the ride is comparable to Mercedes. It feels so tight. Now Im looking to buy a Liberty diesel, as mileage is not very good.

First week impression - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By pumposo - April 1 - 10:00 amAfter having driven the much larger Chevy Trailblazer for the past three years, its literally refreshing to drive this vehicle. This is my first Jeep and I have no regrets. While I do miss the cushy ride of the TB, I certainly feel much more comfortable in this Jeep. I actually feel more secure going off road with it.

transmission shudder - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Col Tomb - March 21 - 10:00 amBeware of the dreaded Chrysler transmission shudder in cruise. -seems its quite common. Its the wifes car and she doesnt object to it. If Id known about it, I wouldnt have bought the car.

love my jeep - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By intangibleside - February 18 - 10:00 amI love how my vehicle is high and can easily clear most objects on the ground. I love going into dirt trails and just enjoying the feeling of having a jeep. The limited edition is great because it is luxurious and at the same time you know you can get dirty with it. I love my jeep.

Johns review - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By J DeGiovine - February 7 - 10:00 amThe automatic transmission combined with the 3.7 liter engine has a slight hesitation when accelarating and occurs around 42-45 mph. The Jeep more them makes up for this problem in many other ways. It is very fun to drive.
