For the 2003 Jeep Liberty, a new overhead console, based on that of the Grand Cherokee, includes a unique interface that allows passengers to program the operation of nine convenience and safety items to their own preference. Liberty owners can now personalize several features, including which doors unlock with the first press of the remote keyless entry unlock button, the miles driven between service intervals and the amount of time the headlamps remain on when exiting the vehicle. Finally, an available six-disc in-dash CD player replaces the cargo area mounted unit. Standard four-wheel disc brakes endow the Jeep with improved brake feel on-road, decreased stopping distances and reduced brake fade. Available electrochromic interior and driver-side rearview mirrors help reduce headlight glare from traffic at night, and standard sliding sun visors have been added, which serve to keep the sun out of your eyes by providing added windshield and side glass coverage.

I looooove My Jeep! - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By Bizzette - June 16 - 4:56 amI bought my Jeep two and a half years ago. I still love it as much today as the first day I owned it. It is very reliable and the gas mileage is really good (considering that its an SUV). The mileage I get is about what was listed on the sticker. When I need another car, Ill probably buy another Liberty.

The problems that have been described with tires and handling I have not experienced. My Liberty has taken everything that has been thrown at it from hail storms (without a dent) to near blizzard conditions (without a slide off). Awesome vehicle.

Very Satisfied - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By Scootie - May 22 - 2:00 amIve had my Liberty Limited for just over a week now and I absolutely love it. The ride is smooth (especially compared to the Cherokee Sport that my boyfriend has)and I love the added headroom and overall roomier feel than the Cherokee. The leather seats are quite comfortable too. I originally wanted leather seats to make it easier to clean up the dog hair generated by my 3 terriers...but now I love my new Liberty so much that they arent allowed in it! We are only getting flurries today but Im eager for it to snow so I can test out the 4wd!

By GeneEsposito - May 22 - 2:00 amExcellent choice for a smaller SUV. Coming off a Montero Sport the Jeep handles well even if its taller. Great display panel and having the radio,CD,&casette controls on the stering wheel cant be beat. Love the quick flip rear glass window and the side pull door. This won out the selection process over the Madza Tribute, Outlander, and Freelander.

By tds/Indiana - May 22 - 2:00 amThe vehicle is a pleasure to drive; with all controls easily accessable to the driver. Handling and response is better than the Cherokee, which it replaced. The four-wheel Select-Trac is superb, and the short body over-hang front and rear allows for steep entry and exit angles when in hilly terrain.

By jakedawg75 - May 12 - 10:00 amAfter some extensive research of various models, my wife and I settled on the Liberty because of the price range and the power. We live in Colorado, and a little punch getting into the mountains and navigating the passes is a plus. I was really surprised with the amount of room in the back, me being about 6 I had a good 3" of head room and my legs werent crammed. We got the Sport Model with the "B" options package (AC, Power Windows, Locks, etc). Overall a good buy for someone who will use the power and offroad features of this car in addition to everyday use.

Go for it!!! - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By goneloco - April 10 - 2:00 amIve had mine for almost 3 weeks now with around 500 miles in it. This vehicle is great!!! I enjoy driving it so much that when I go on a 10 min. errand I would instead take the longer routes just so that I can drive this thing longer. I liked the handling and the driving experience. Was seriously thinking of getting a Rav4 before I stopped by the Jeep dealer. Everytime I park my Lib next to a Rav4 I I know that I made the right decision. The only thing that the Rav4 had that would sway me a little was the gas mileage thats about it.

By THEO - March 7 - 2:00 amI love my Jeep. After being a Ford/GM man all my life I made the switch. I had the opportunity to work with Ford Motor as a contractor and I observed very poor quality control, egotistical business practices, and substandard quality. Henry Ford would be turning in his grave after what I saw! This Jeep I bought is TOUGH! I have driven through 2 floods, ice, snow, and it kicked butt! I saw police cars stranded in flood waters and I plowed right through it! I liked my Jeep so much I bought another as a company vehicle.

I Love this Jeep! Very pleased - 2003 Jeep Liberty
By yvonne62 - February 26 - 3:36 pmI purchased this Jeep new in 2003 and its still going strong. I have not had to make any major repairs, just regular maintaince on it as anyone should. Gas mileage could be better, but its a Jeep SUV. I have never had a problem in any kind of weather, accept in a tornado once that blew the left front fender off. It doesnt cost an arm and a leg to maintain, as foreigns do. I have 138,000 miles on it. I put a great set of tires on it three times, replaced the struts etc, but thats normal for what I do with it. I have been on so many off road trails in Colorado and in the Smokey Mountains that it crazy. I trust my Jeep and its been really good to me all these years. Its a keeper!
