Overview & Reviews
All 2004 Jeep Libertys now feature a passenger-side grab handle and a power accessory delay feature, while Renegade models get additional rock rail protection and black accent body side moldings. New options include UConnect, Chrysler's hands-free in-vehicle communication system, a tire-pressure monitoring system and a cargo organizer. Safety is enhanced thanks to a system that unlocks doors, illuminates interior courtesy lights and shuts off the fuel pump after airbag deployment. A new trim -- the Jeep Liberty Columbia Edition -- has been introduced, offering 16-inch graphite-painted aluminum wheels; graphite-painted fascias and body moldings; body-colored fender flares; a sun roof; fog lamps; and Columbia badging.
- Extremely capable off-road, creative interior design, still a Jeep at heart.
- Thirsty at the gas pump, not as "carlike" on the street as most of its competitors.

1 year and still going! - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Dave In Snohomish - December 1 - 2:00 amThis is a review on the 2003 Limited. I have been extremely pleased with the overall reliability of the Liberty. It has not had any mechanical problems to speak of yet. It handled great in the snow on forrest service roads this past winter. The highway ride is a little bouncy, but that should be expected in an off road vehicle. The mileage averages around 18 normal driving, and 21 at 70 miles an hour on the highway. A very fun ride with excellent exceleration. A very nice combination of ruggedness, and refinement!

Lacking interior details - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Kathi - November 12 - 8:56 pmThis is my 3rd Jeep, first Liberty Ltd. Performance is great, poor gas mileage, but is good locally or on the highway. Better comfort in back seat than prior Jeep Cherokee Ltd. or Grand Cherokee Ltd.

Highly recommend - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By give me liberty - October 31 - 10:00 amI have enjoyed my Jeep Liberty from the very start. I bought it in June 0f 2001. I had literally one of the very first on the street. It got a lot of looks and many great comments. I have just turned 30K. I have had a few very minor concerns, nothing even worth mentioning.

Jeep Liberty vs Jeep Cherokee - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Strayhan - October 14 - 10:00 amI had previously owned a Jeep Cherokee and the sales person talked me into the Liberty. I do not like it compared to the Cherokee and the gas mileage in the the Liberty is poor. I wish I had purchased the Cherokee like I desired.

Cant get enough - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Jeep Crazy Girl - September 18 - 1:16 pmI bought this Liberty 1 week ago but I owned an 03 a few years ago and liked it so much I bought another one. I love this Jeep. Its so fun to drive and they are awesome in the mud. I can get through stuff that the big trucks cant. One thing I dont like on this one that I didnt notice on my other one is the get up and go. It seems to stall a little before taking off. I really dont like how my chrome wheels are plastic, I didnt notice this until I got home and was very unhappy.
