Overview & Reviews
All 2004 Jeep Libertys now feature a passenger-side grab handle and a power accessory delay feature, while Renegade models get additional rock rail protection and black accent body side moldings. New options include UConnect, Chrysler's hands-free in-vehicle communication system, a tire-pressure monitoring system and a cargo organizer. Safety is enhanced thanks to a system that unlocks doors, illuminates interior courtesy lights and shuts off the fuel pump after airbag deployment. A new trim -- the Jeep Liberty Columbia Edition -- has been introduced, offering 16-inch graphite-painted aluminum wheels; graphite-painted fascias and body moldings; body-colored fender flares; a sun roof; fog lamps; and Columbia badging.
- Extremely capable off-road, creative interior design, still a Jeep at heart.
- Thirsty at the gas pump, not as "carlike" on the street as most of its competitors.

ITS A BUY!! - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By MICROECONOMICS - January 15 - 10:00 amWe just love our new jeep! This truck, is just that, a truck. It feels so strong and rough yet its quick, nimble, and agile. My wife loves the high seat level for a great look of the road ahead, but doesnt have to have such a huge vehicle to move around. Lots of head room and leg room along with enough power to get up and go makes me happy too. Quality in the build is clear, not a bug, rattle or glitch in a year.

Big disappointment - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By JeepDisappointment - January 15 - 10:00 amAfter a month of owning my brand new jeep liberty, I had to take it to the dealership to repair a transmission leak. The car looks good on the outside but was sluggish when driving on an incline and slow in accelerating. I expected to keep my new car for 10 years as I kept my previous car which was not a jeep for 13 years. Needless to say, I am deeply disappointed and would now like to trade my car after owning it for just a month.

Driving is Fun Again - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By priceylane - January 15 - 10:00 amI love my Jeep Liberty experience. It gives you the feeling of being on top of the road and the control of a car. I think the ride is smoother than many SUVs but you still get the feeling your driving something big. It has plenty of room for people or stuff.

jeep liberty sport for towing - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By richard barr - January 5 - 6:03 pmA great vehicle. Comfortable, fast, extremely reliable. Towing capacity of 5000 lbs. -- far above all other small SUVs except the Nissan Xterra, which is $5000 more and less reliable.

Great - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By jbuford04 - October 27 - 10:00 amI bought this car when my old Cherokee finally decided to die (at 300K). At first getting used to the controls was a little difficult. I adjusted very quickly to the placement of the controls and have actually found them to be more convenient. Never had any problems in almost any weather condition. Hardest conditions were about 9" of snow on the ground and I still didnt get stuck at any point. Very cold air very quickly in the summer. The heater takes a few minutes of warming up to get nice and hot. Overall I havent found any problems with my car so far.

By Micah - October 20 - 11:23 pmMy Jeep Liberty has been a great vehicle. The overall exterior design is very sleek I think. The interior is very comfortable. It handles great with six cylinders and 4X4. Its a very fun vehicle to drive on the highway or offroad!

Kems review - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By K T H - September 29 - 11:10 amI bought my Jeep in January 2004. I have never owned a Jeep and was surprised at myself for falling in love with it on the first test drive. It is very comfortable and after being used to driving a car, I felt I could see everything. The Liberty has personality with its round features like the headlights, instrument panel, and door handles. It rides more like a car than the old Jeep Wrangler I used to ride in. It is also stylish inside and out. It has plenty of cargo space. The kids love to ride in it because they can see out over everything. The only problem I had with the Liberty was the back hatch came open when it rained, but the dealership fixed it. I love my JEEP!!!

RENEGADE info - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By ZMan239 - September 26 - 10:00 amGreat car, fun to drive... The only thing i dont like about it is the rear tailgate, the fact that it doesnt have a handle, and the window controls on the center counsel, it can be annoying to open and close the windows, but besides that the handling is awesome for an SUV, and the power is pretty good. OFF-ROAD the car performs really well, better than most other SUVs.
