Overview & Reviews
All 2004 Jeep Libertys now feature a passenger-side grab handle and a power accessory delay feature, while Renegade models get additional rock rail protection and black accent body side moldings. New options include UConnect, Chrysler's hands-free in-vehicle communication system, a tire-pressure monitoring system and a cargo organizer. Safety is enhanced thanks to a system that unlocks doors, illuminates interior courtesy lights and shuts off the fuel pump after airbag deployment. A new trim -- the Jeep Liberty Columbia Edition -- has been introduced, offering 16-inch graphite-painted aluminum wheels; graphite-painted fascias and body moldings; body-colored fender flares; a sun roof; fog lamps; and Columbia badging.
- Extremely capable off-road, creative interior design, still a Jeep at heart.
- Thirsty at the gas pump, not as "carlike" on the street as most of its competitors.

I Love the Liberty! - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Kathy M. - March 15 - 2:00 amI picked up my 04 Liberty 2 weeks ago. Have to travel 45 miles each way to work - all highway miles. I am so glad I purchased the Liberty. I just have a Sport model, but it has the anti-lock brakes and speed control. I also love the aluminum rims which were part of the package. This vehicle makes me feel so safe. It is smooth and sturdy. Even the gas mileage isnt as bad as I thought. I agree that this vehicle is so much fun to drive, you dont mind the gas as much. Highly recommended!

Danger, Will Robinson! DANGER! - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By John Skiba - March 14 - 7:12 pmBought the 2004 Liberty used in 2007 "ASIS" from our local Jeep dealer after our master certified mechanic did a full inspection and told us it seemed OK. 3 years later, while driving the interstate under 100% perfect driving conditions, I suddenly found myself with no steering (wheel had no effect). The car rolled 3 times then flipped end-over-end, skidded to a halt on its roof. The police wrote it up as a no-fault unknown cause accident. We got a recall notice 2 years later that explained that the problem could cause sudden loss of steering. When we contacted Jeep, they said unless we still had the wreck we were S.O.L. The standard Jeep response was always "We dont care!"

By LJS2 - March 8 - 2:00 amSharp looking exterior, especially with the 17" wheels. Interior is part luxury with leather and part sporty with aluminum accents.

Jeep Liberty - 2004 Jeep Liberty
By Steves - March 8 - 2:00 amI just purchased a new Jeep Liberty Sport. This is a wonderful vehicle with great maneuverability and handling. The styling on this vehicle is top notch. It seems like the engineers at Jeep knew just where to put all controls, so they are within easy reach. The Jeep is a pleasure to drive and I would highly recommend it.
