Overview & Reviews
For 2004, the Grand Cherokee gets a factory-installed DVD navigation system integrated into the radio. Columbia, Freedom and Special Edition trims are also new for 2004. All of these models incorporate subtle cosmetic touches and equipment upgrades. Additionally, each Columbia Edition Jeep comes with a complimentary Columbia parka.
- Powerful 4.7-liter V8, all-terrain capability, roomy comfort for four.
- Noisy and unrefined, questionable reliability, trucklike on-road handling.

electrical issues - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By dansss - October 20 - 9:00 pmThis jeep is great when it comes to driving in the snow. Its not bad around town, it looks great in dark grey. I have had some issues with the electrical system though. The pass. side taillight keeps going out and none of the windows go up or down. I feel they could have done a better job on the electrical system.

BUY THIS TRUCK - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By KTurner - September 28 - 10:00 amWe paid the extra $$ for the V8 and the 10 disk changer, and it is well worth it. We have really noticed the difference on our way up the mountains outside of Denver.

Runs GREAT - Gas HOG! - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Tony L - September 22 - 2:00 amBeautiful truck! Fun to drive - but terrible on gas mileage. CD player needs to be moved to the front of the vehicle. Not a good place in the back. Also - bad quality CD player...makes CDs skip often - when no scratches on cds.

This is the BEST car I have ever owned ! - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By ToniAnn - September 16 - 2:00 amI love this car. I have had no problems with this car and we drove to and from NJ to Florida, with two children and a dog. We have a very comfortable ride. No problems whatsoever! This is a great reliable car and we would make the decision to buy another one in a heartbeat !

Loved my Jeep, but - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Tim - August 11 - 4:00 amI loved my Jeep. Heres why. Previously, I had a 94 Grand Cherokee with the I-6 engine. That lasted us 12 years before I sold it and bought my 04 (in 06), and the last several years that Id owned the 04, Id had a 3500 lb. boat to pull. it was a dog. But, my 04, with the V8, was AWESOME for towing. It was so much fun to drive, too. But, in the end, the reliability killed me. I had to replace the power window mechanism on 3 of the 4 doors, the body was starting to rust (at 6 years of age), and Id had to replace a front wheel bearing. If not for the rust, I probably would have kept it, but today I drove home my new (to me) Honda Pilot. 16 years of owing JGCs, over, sigh.
