  • I Love MY Grand Cherokee Limited - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

My Cherokee is my second Cherokee. I love it -- I can haul whatever comes my way and I like the comfort for long trips - which is most of my driving. I wish I had a V8, but I have gotten used to the 6 and I am saving fuel costs. I love my sun roof, and the room inside is awesome. Plus it is a beautifully designed car on the outside -- truly well designed for curb appeal. I could have spent another 5-10K on a BMW or Lexus ...but would not have been worth it. I love my Cherokee ! It is truly an American Dream !

  • Real Quality, Real Value - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Since I purchased my Overland, I have found this vechile to be everything I had wanted from a 4wd, V8, vechile. As a previous Cherokee owner that had already been sold on the value of the Jeep brand, the new Overland has impresssed me with its appearance, power, comfort and all around quality. Hats off to the Chrysler / Jeep team.

  • My Great Grand - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Extremely sporty feel to it. The uniframe is very rigid and seems to be very durable. Off-road it seems smooth and yet extremely responsive; just like the other Jeep vehicles. The ride is very different from the older Grand Cherokees, it doesnt rock nearly as much as before, and yet is still a great off-roader - in fact, I feel its better. The Jeep feels very safe to drive. I like the steering much better than my previous, older Grand Cherokee. And although bigger, I feel more in-tune with my vehicle and the surroundings than I did with my previous Jeep.

Previous 3 SUVs were GCLs. Particularly enjoy the feel, confort and the many "bells and whistles" of the Overland especially rain-sensitive wipers and tire pressure monitor. Appreciate pleasing interior design. Would highly recommend to my friends.

  • Explorer Vs. Grand Cherokee - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Simply put, Ive owned only Ford Motor Company products my entire life. This past fall I wanted a mid-size SUV to trade my F-150 to. I drove an Explorer and then after a friend telling me great things I drove a Jeep. A few hours later, I drove away in my 2004 Pewter GC Special Edition. Great engine, fair ride quality, best seats in the business, and overall superb vehicle. I would also like to comment on how nimble it feels compared to other SUVs Ive driven.

  • 115,000 miles and going strong - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I bought my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo new in 2004. It was a V8 demo model with less than 1,000 miles. I got a great deal on it because it was a demo and because of a $6,000 cash incentive. Ive driven it now for over five years and have put an average of 23,000 miles per year on it, mostly highway. I had the shocks replaced at around 50,000 miles and all four axle seals replaced at about 70,000 miles. Actually, the rear ones were the only ones leaking but I thought Id better go ahead and have them all replaced. Other than those two issues, it has been surprisingly reliable. Major services were done at 30K, 70K, and 100K and I did most oil changes myself every 3K to 5K miles.

  • Rough, Rough Idle - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

This will be my 4th Jeep and last. Purchased new and ran great for first 10,000 miles. Started to have rough idle problem when in drive. Had 4 different dealers work on it with no luck. They just say V8s idle rough in this vehicle because idle RPM is set too low for lower emissions. Cant change computer settings. What bull! If buying this vehicle used, look for one with at least 15,000 miles. This idle problem does not set in until later. Very smooth running V8 but idle at red lights or traffic a joke. Passengers will ask you whats wrong with your car? Brakes also need frequent work. Only buy this vehicle with a power driver seat.

  • My Love For My Overland - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

Buying my Jeep Overland is no doubt one of the smartest car decisions I have made. Its great for trips, however long or short they may be. So far, there hasnt been any problems with it, except for a minor leak in one of the tires. The only times it has been in the shop ate for the service checks or inspections, which it has always passed. Im proud of my Jeep, and its excellent performance.
