Overview & Reviews
For 2004, the Grand Cherokee gets a factory-installed DVD navigation system integrated into the radio. Columbia, Freedom and Special Edition trims are also new for 2004. All of these models incorporate subtle cosmetic touches and equipment upgrades. Additionally, each Columbia Edition Jeep comes with a complimentary Columbia parka.
- Powerful 4.7-liter V8, all-terrain capability, roomy comfort for four.
- Noisy and unrefined, questionable reliability, trucklike on-road handling.

2004 Bundle of FUN - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By DPSKI - February 15 - 6:06 pmRecently purchased a 2004 Grand Cherokee Columbia Edition from a friend. It is my second jeep and is in very good condition. It drives and handles awesome and handles the trails wonderfully. In addition, Monday - Friday I commute 40 miles one way to work and love the handling and size of this vehicle. 24 MPG would be ideal on the highways as I only get 21 at 70 MPH. Upgraded to Bridgetone REVO tires and the ride and handling is much better yet! Awesome truck will never sell!

I love my jeep - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Chrissy - January 13 - 11:33 amI just got my Jeep a few weeks ago and it is great. I absolutely love it! I decided to trade in a Saturn to get the Jeep because I live where we get lots of snow, so I can hardly wait to put it in 4WD. It is a great vehicle, and gas mileage isnt too bad for being an SUV.

Love my Jeep - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Texas Dan - January 1 - 12:46 amMy first Jeep was a CJ5. Big difference between the two of them. I loved the 5 for its ability to climb and maneuver in tight places. I love this one for its comfort creatures.

2004 JEEP GC - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By SCCARTS1 - November 23 - 2:00 amMY 4TH NEW JEEP IN 9 YEARS. THIS IS A HANDSOME & RELIABLE VEHICLE. HOWEVER MUCH TOO LARGE FOR THE 6 CYL ENGINE. NONETHELESS POSSESSING CAT-LIKE PROWESS IN OFF-ROAD SITUATIONS . THE SEATING SHOULD BE MORE COMFORTABLE CONSIDERING THE $30K PRICE TAG . I HONESTLY EXPECTED MORE FROM THIS MODEL CONSIDERING THE PRICE HIKE OVER THE NOW DISCONTINUED CHEROKEE.

Still wonderful after all these years. . - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By glgibb - November 18 - 10:00 amWe are on our second Limited, first on was still going since 1997 and 180k miles. Traded up to the 04 Limited V8HO, and yes, you can tell a difference in the HO. Jeep continues to make a solid vehicle and a wonderful answer to the larger SUVs, (We also have a Tahoe). We choose the Jeep for travels around Texas cause it is a lot more fun.

Love it! - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By JGCSRT8 - November 15 - 3:53 pmPrior to this, I owned a Jeep Wrangler. While I loved that Jeep (a V6), this baby drives itself! Of course, the V8 is rough on the gas tank, but I dont mind because I dont drive that much. Got me through a Buffalo Winter with the all-time 4x4. Comfortable for longer trips. Gas prices would have to double before I would even consider trading it in!

Great Tow Vehicle!! - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By DADDYO - November 13 - 10:00 amThis is a great vehicle. I use it to tow a small, enclosed, car tailer(about 5500 lbs loaded weight). Has plenty of power on all but the absolute steepest conditions. The overdrive lockout button is very handy when towing. Metallic flecks in the black paint show fantastic in the bright sunlight. The interior is very comfortable and easy to live with on extended trips. Lots of cargo room with rear seats folded down. Headlights/Foglights do a great job. Steering wheel mounted Audio controls have got me really spoiled. Get a lot of comments on the Chrome 17" Wheels.

grand laredo 4 door 4X4 - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By patricia flynn - October 29 - 12:03 amthis is the fourth jeep that i have owned. the only thing i dont like about this jeep are the handles that are to close to the windows.i feel it blocks a lot of the view. other than that i love every thing else about it. and i have always gotten a fair resale price on other jeeps ive owned and sold.
