For 2004, the Grand Cherokee gets a factory-installed DVD navigation system integrated into the radio. Columbia, Freedom and Special Edition trims are also new for 2004. All of these models incorporate subtle cosmetic touches and equipment upgrades. Additionally, each Columbia Edition Jeep comes with a complimentary Columbia parka.

Pros:
  • Powerful 4.7-liter V8, all-terrain capability, roomy comfort for four.
Cons:
  • Noisy and unrefined, questionable reliability, trucklike on-road handling.

  • My 2004 2 wheel drive - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I purchased my Grand Cherokee Laredo from a local used car place with 145,681 miles on it. The vehicle now has 210,450 miles on it. I still average near 21 mpgs on the highway with it. The inline 6 is a very durable motor, the only items Ive replaced on it was at 175,265 a water pump, tires normal wear, brakes, and all push rods for lift gate, hood, and back glass. The cooling fan went out a few miles back going to replace it soon. Great vehicle. I get 17.5 mpgs in the city.

  • Why am I smilin? - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Im smilin because Ive got the best value ride for the money. This is a great looking vehicle. Im 62" and there is more than enough leg room. Fantastic towing power with the V8. Pulled my 5000# trailer and it didnt break a sweat, even at 65mph. The build quality is very impressive. The doors slam with a solid "thud". Freeway mileage with the V8 not yet broken in is just over 20mpg. Was able to make a deal for $460 under invoice with an additional $5500 in rebates. Also got $990 discount for the V8. If there are any 2004s left out there, grab one. When I saw the 2005 body style change it convinced me to buy an 04. Much classier styling in the 04. Ill always own a Jeep.

This is my first Jeep and I have not had it very long but in that short time I have had it I have enjoyed it more than I have any of the other 4X4s that I have owned. I moved to the Jeep from a P/U and have not missed the P/U at all.

  • Love It! - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Ive had 1994 & 1997 Explorers and 2000 Grand Cherokee. They were all reliable but I love this one the best of all. I will most likely buy it at the end of the lease.

  • Great Jeep - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I test drove many vehicles before deciding on this jeep, and I love it so far. Drove it 325 miles first off to take it home. It has a little more wind resistance then I am use to, but Ill get use to that, and the gas mileage isnt quite as good as my car, but except for those 2 things, I cant say enough good things about my Grand Cherokee

  • **My Jeep** - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Its a great SUV! Great in the snow. I bought the V-8 4.7 liter. It averages 15 mpg. I test drove the V- 6 4.0 liter. I needed the V-8 for my needs. I really didnt want to buy the 2005 with the new body and new motor design, so I got a left over.

  • My LAST car purchase - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

This car is INCREDIBLE! My biggest motto in life is "You get what you pay for," and that remains true with the Grand Cherokee. Its AWESOME in the snow and the ride is incredibly comfortable. I have never felt this confident on the road. The seats hug you from the very start and as soon as you get on the road you can tell that this is no regular car. Plus the 0% interest deals? What more do you need. Just drive the Grand and see for yourself. Ive rode in a pathfinder and 4runner and those cars are a waste of money. Another guy put it right, Jeep could easily raise the tag by another $10,000 and it would still feel worth it.

  • Great Buy - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

This vehicle is perfect for my wife and I and are dog. The cargo space is more than enough. The drive is smooth and fun. And the gas mileage is great for a 4.0L. This Jeep has fit its purpose in our everyday life. We not only use it in the city but also for camping which is so much fun with this particular vehicle. We love it.
