  • I love Jeep! - 2016 Jeep Cherokee

First of all this is my first brand new vehicle, and my first SUV. I shopped around ALOT, and I found that I kept coming back to the Jeep Cherokee Limited. I bought mine with just about every upgrade you could get. The inside is very nice. I love how comfortable the seats are, they will be great for long term driving, even the back seats are just as good. The exterior is equally as nice. I think chrome wheels would have looked better but these look good, and are probably more durable too. The Panoramic Sunroof is perfect I get plenty of light, and when its open I feel like Im in a convertible. The only bad thing I have to say is I wished I would have got the V6. There just isnt a lot of power to it. With that said I test drove the V6 too and there was not a big difference in power or take off. But my previous vehicle was a Pontiac with V6 which are know to have lots of power, so I guess I just have to get use to it. The only Vehicle I found that compared as well was the FORD Edge but it cost more too, other than that I LOVE my new JEEP.

Considering I learned to drive in a 47 Willys jeep pickup......Jeep has come a long ways.Bought a 2016 Trailhawk with the 4cyl. I dont do much towing so didnt need the extra 2 cylinders for 1000 + dollars. On the way home took it down a 2 mile sand trail that eats rails and buggys on a regular basis. No problems at all in 4wd/auto setting. The technology is pretty impressive, lane assist, adaptive braking, etc. It almost drives itself. The 8 speed auto trans seems to get a little confused with up and downshifts. The cure for this is to drive it with authority, not like an 80 year old lady. My only complaint is the exhaust sound. Kinda like a constipated bumble bee. Borla makes a catback exhaust system that should take care of that. Ill trade it in 4 years. Cant wait to see what to 2020 looks like.

Finally the transmission is fixed. The 2016 transmissions are smooth as silk with no hesitation at all. I had a 2014 Jeep Cherokee that I traded in for the 2016 and am glad I did. To all who were wondering about the transmissions. They are working great with no issues.

2016 Defective brakes off the lot. Replaced all major components. Dealer was unable to get it right. Took them 12 days. Brakes on these cars are unresponsive and too firm, making it difficult to react quickly in an emergency situation. I dont get why they are designed like this. saftey tech blind spot, rear assist are great. Acceleration is very good, appearance and interior build style/quality very good. Navigation is quite basic for $600! Post-purchase all I hear about are reliability issues. So maybe I shouldve researched this car a lot more before buying. I doubt Ill let this car ever get out of warranty.

I just bought this car and its been in the shop 3 times already to no avail. Car cuts off in the middle of driving and leaving me with no power on a busy Interstate several times. Dealership cant find anything wrong with it although I barely got it there. Car States vehicle needs transmission repair service and brake service. Seems no one can help! Do not buy this car. Lemon warning.

Just bought this Jeep Cherokee five days ago. I wasnt really looking to buy a SUV. My husband talked me into taking it for a test drive. When I came back with it I really liked it. I havent gotten a new car in some time. Drove real smooth, and it didnt even feel like a 4 cycle. The in side is real nice. I cant believe I went to a two door car to a SUV, that is how much I liked it..There are a few things I would of liked it to have on it. A sun roof, tinted windows, and the sound of the radio I wish it was a little louder, the volume isnt that high. I planning on keeping this for some time..I never thought I would be driving a SUV, when all the kids are gone and its just me....

Do not buy this car. It will not start, the door will come down on you head and knock you out, the tire pressure gauge alternates between okay and low, and the dealer will flash the computer about fifteen to twenty times and the car will still not work. I will never , never, never, buy another Jeep. Also I had the worst dealership. When I called about my car during the 6 weeks they kept the car during the first 3 months of ownership I was told that nobody in the shop know anything. I had to take off work to talk to the shop about the status of my car. they thought is was okay to sell me that loaner car at the same price of my Jeep which was about $10,000 less than my Jeep. Usually drive about 20,000 per year but I am afraid to drive this car! Plan to sell as soon as possible! Paid much more than it was worth.

  • By far the worst Jeep ever. - 2016 Jeep Cherokee

So we had to rent this car while our X5 was getting fixed. First I want to say that this car is not good looking at ALL. First i will start with the quality of the interior . The front seat comfort was OK, but the rear seat comfort was awful. Now the engine. I am blown away by how horrible this engine is. I tried to accelerate and I seriously had to wait a solid 2 seconds to go any farther . AND yes I know cars have lag , but this was a lack of a good engine. I hate this so called SUV.
