  • A different look! - 2016 Jeep Cherokee

I have the 2016 Trailhawk 3.2 V-6 AWD, When you get behind the wheel you think your driving a larger SUV. It has the feeling that it is well built. I have driven the other small SUVs in this class and the tinny feel when you shut the door and the road noise from different types of payvment let you know your in a small SUV. This is different from the fit and finish on the interior to the snappy 3.2 V-6. I have know about the transmission problems but they must be fixed because this tranny is as smooth a butter. The MSPR of mine went just over $40k and that is a bunch for a small SUV but in this case you get what you pay for. What other small SUV comes with Rock setting with locker rear axel. Its also the only one you can tow four down behind a motor home. I give it two thumbs up.

My wife and I were looking to replace our 3 year old Escape with 1.6 motor. We looked at and drove several other suvs but keep coming back to the 2016 Jeep 75th Anniversary Edition with the 2.4 motor. It just felt more solid, comfortable, quite and interior was laid out better to us. We wanted to like other models more, but the Jeep just won us over. Having owned and driven many cars from around the world, the Jeep just keep being the best option for us. The ride is solid, the seats firm, but not hard and the interior is very quite, which should make it a treat for long highway trips. Looking forward to our first. The 2.4 motor has plenty of power for anything we need, equal or better acceleration than our old 1.6 turbo, and surly better fuel mileage. We were lucky to see 25 mpg with eco motor even using a light foot. The best ride and handling Ive ever exeperienced was an older RR. The Jeep is the closes Ive come to matching it. So far we are both extreamly pleased with the Jeep. Now the cons: the dealers lack of knowledge of the product. Navaid a $600 addition cost on a $30,000 car, supplied by the same clueless dealer. Chrysler Finanical is the least customer oriented company Ive dealt with in the last 20 years, and unable to reconcile the difference between a 911 address and mailing address. My only hope is the Jeep will outshine our last plagued Chrysler vehicle, a 2006 Grand Caravan.

About my jeep cherokee trailhawk: I bought every option except the fancy audio speakers. After I ordered the car, Consumer Reports came out with best 10 safety options that every new car should have. With the trailhawk options I had every one on consumer reports list. The options are worth every cent. Just returned from drive from NYC to ski trip deep in Canada, a total of 32 hours of driving round trip. The Trailhawk was amazing, on highway or on snow or at city pace. If you cannot afford all the options i would not recommend the car. The options make it worth every penny, and make the car extremely safe to drive. That should be your first priority.

  • Outstanding for what it is - 2016 Jeep Cherokee

Make not mistake, this is a compact crossover that is semi-rugged, not fully rugged. In that sense, this vehicle is great. Theyve packed a lot into this body. Likes: Love the V6, mileage isnt great if you like to open her up but if you treat her nicely it will return decent mileage. Very quiet cabin, only really hear the engine loudly when flooring it. Alpine sound system is very nice. Lane Departure system works as advertised. Rear view Camera is awesome on the 8.4" screen, the computer is fast, recognizes your phone quickly and responds to commands quickly. Highly recommend getting the Safety/Convenience package that nets you the 3 items mentioned above. Interior space is decent. Dislikes: None yet really. The start/stop system when you are at the red light or at a stop seems to stop too late and start to early. Havent looked at the settings yet to see what is up with that. Overall, really like it. What it offers that the others really dont is a nice V6 that provides sweet acceleration for zipping about......a major plus for me. Also, from a cost standpoint it is a good value after rebates etc. Mine MSRPd at just over $30k and I got it for just above $24k. Lot of vehicle for $24k.

  • Crash Tested!! - 2016 Jeep Cherokee

I leased a 2016 Jeep Cherokee and recently got into a terrible accident with the car. I was shocked how the car reacted to the accident. It did what it was built to do, which was save me and the car itself fell apart. I got hit on the drivers side and then the force from that forced me to hit a telephone pole. I was told that if I had been driving my old car, which was a 2010 Volkswagen, the accident wouldve been much worse and my injuries wouldve been worse. I highly suggest this car to anyone that is looking at a Jeep. It is extremely reliable and has the best ride Ive ever driven in a car. Its great in the snow/rain as well. If youre looking into Jeeps, definitely look at this one! I also suggest the Jeep Grand Cherokee, as I have that one as well. Both of these vehicles are wonderful and their performance is top of the line.

This was my first jeep purchase and i am very pleased with my 2016 Cherokee Trailhawk. I got a great deal and was quite suprised on the comfort and the overall performance. The first weekend I had it i went out of town and i got about 28 mpg on the highway. The scond trip was to the beach and went about 300 miles on a half of tank. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for an SUV.

  • Special Dealer Edition - 2016 Jeep Cherokee

The only complaint I have is that the headlights do not appear as bright as my other SUV vehicle (Mitsubishi Outlander XLS 2007) I plan to have some high intensity LED driving lights installed. Overall I love this vehicle. The V6 is fun and has plenty of tow power, in sport mode it gets up and goes! This was a special edition ordered by the dealership and it had not even been offloaded off the transport and I said I wanted it after test driving a similar model. This one had 12 miles on it. It has the blacked out package, V6, and 18 inch wheels which were not offered through the manufacture website in the combination I bought. Side note: its not the Overland V6 but the Sport with dealer options, V6 etc.

  • LOVE My Baby Jeep!! - 2016 Jeep Cherokee

I just traded in my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee for the 2016 Cherokee Latitude (v6) and OMG! Im in love. I didnt think I would like a smaller version of what I had but I was wrong. The comfort, the bells and whistles and the road handling. I feel like Im in a sporty type vehicle. It handles curves AWESOME! Im happy. The ONLY thing that can be a little annoying is the ceiling noise. I guess, with the panoramic moon roof, the glass doesnt shield road noises like a metal ceiling would. But it looks FABULOUS when the roof is exposed! I love it! Ill always have a Jeep in my life! Since I only had 11 miles when I got it (2 days ago), I cant speak to the gas mileage yet, but the car is wonderful! I LOVED My Grand Cherokee, but it had soooooooo many issues. It was hard to part with it because it was truly my Dream car, but this baby Jeep has me wondering what took me so long. Great look, great "toys", great handling and GREAT car! But wait! Forgot to mention the fact that with UConnect, I am able to start my car from ANYWHERE. From my computer at my desk(!!!), from the mobile app on my phone or from my keyfob.

First of all this is my first brand new vehicle, and my first SUV. I shopped around ALOT, and I found that I kept coming back to the Jeep Cherokee Limited. I bought mine with just about every upgrade you could get. The inside is very nice. I love how comfortable the seats are, they will be great for long term driving, even the back seats are just as good. The exterior is equally as nice. I think chrome wheels would have looked better but these look good, and are probably more durable too. The Panoramic Sunroof is perfect I get plenty of light, and when its open I feel like Im in a convertible. The only bad thing I have to say is I wished I would have got the V6. There just isnt a lot of power to it. With that said I test drove the V6 too and there was not a big difference in power or take off. But my previous vehicle was a Pontiac with V6 which are know to have lots of power, so I guess I just have to get use to it. The only Vehicle I found that compared as well was the FORD Edge but it cost more too, other than that I LOVE my new JEEP.

  • This is a Jeep????? - 2016 Jeep Cherokee

Considering I learned to drive in a 47 Willys jeep pickup......Jeep has come a long ways.Bought a 2016 Trailhawk with the 4cyl. I dont do much towing so didnt need the extra 2 cylinders for 1000 + dollars. On the way home took it down a 2 mile sand trail that eats rails and buggys on a regular basis. No problems at all in 4wd/auto setting. The technology is pretty impressive, lane assist, adaptive braking, etc. It almost drives itself. The 8 speed auto trans seems to get a little confused with up and downshifts. The cure for this is to drive it with authority, not like an 80 year old lady. My only complaint is the exhaust sound. Kinda like a constipated bumble bee. Borla makes a catback exhaust system that should take care of that. Ill trade it in 4 years. Cant wait to see what to 2020 looks like.
