Overview & Reviews
From the ground up, this is a completely new sport sedan based on the new Ford midsize platform. Lincoln worked with Jaguar to develop this platform, which is also used for Lincoln's LS sedan.
- High-tech features, practical design, classic styling.
- Has to prove its more than a rebadged, overpriced Lincoln LS.

2000 S-Type - 2000 Jaguar S-Type
By Danny - July 21 - 11:56 amI purchased this 2000 S-Type from a private owner just last month. It is white, with chrome rims and 45 series tires, with an after market mesh grill. This car gets so many compliments. Mechanically the car is excellent, the ride is great, the style is one of a kind.

Great Car - 2000 Jaguar S-Type
By Joe 1667 - May 28 - 10:00 amI Own a BMW also. This car is more logical in interior design. My new X-5 died on me only after 6 months.I have had no problems with the S-Type.Much better Navigation and A/C controls then the BMW.Ride is comparable to the BMW.I will admit that the BMW feels faster and has a sportier ride.

Still Lovin My JAG - 2000 Jaguar S-Type
By Dee - December 10 - 1:13 pmI bought this Jaguar brand new when the commercials first appeared on tv. I traded a brand new Lexus SUV with less than 4000 miles for this classic, sleek and gorgeously styled "Cat". Needless to say it was love at first sight. There have been very few mechanical problems (none which have kept me from enjoying the great performance of this car). And I can honestly say I have enjoyed the ride.

Great CAR - 2000 Jaguar S-Type
By bmangana - October 20 - 10:00 am14K miles and 2 years with no problem. Fun to drive, very confortable. The V8 has more than enough power. Best looking car on the road.

JAG S-4 - 2000 Jaguar S-Type
By SUPERGURU - August 1 - 2:00 amRuns great. mph 16-27. Side mirror reduces view when turning left.A little tight for back seat passengers. When turning into a street with speed bumps, a little bumpy. Go slow. Only car, besides previously owned XJ-6 that gets unsolicited rave compliments. When traveling over certain types of highway produces a bit high road noise. Radio station selection on steering wheel eliminates taking eyes off the road. Could use some front top windshield tinting, which I added. Ample trunk room.

From BMW M3 to Jag Type S? - 2000 Jaguar S-Type
By Ernie Bello - July 13 - 4:16 pmWent from a 97 BMW M3 which was a wonderfully reliable, striking, and fun to drive vehicle because my wife was tired of shifting in heavy traffic, etc. Bought the jag from one of my customers- it has been a wonderful vehicle! No headaches, suffering, or disasters! Had a couple of small problems, quickly and easily solved. Thje car is certainly more sedate and refined than the M3, while the M3 is certainly the sportier of the two. The Jaguar has more options, more toys, etc. While the M3 is the better "race car" the Jaguar is certainly the choice for long, fast & relaxed cruising; the V8 engine has ample power for spirited driving in traffic. Good mileage, too: 27mpg highway.

Bought it 3 years ago with 139,000 miles - 2000 Jaguar S-Type
By catcrazy3 - May 28 - 8:39 pmThe only thing I have spent on is oil changes, worn brakes, tires, or general maintenance. This car even with the high mileage rides very very good. It is quiet and rides smoothly. It is aesthetically well proportioned and luxurious. I will say it isnt economical on gas. It also doesnt hug the road like my Volvo 950. It is solid feeling and I am enjoying the ride. I now have about 178,000 miles.

S for Sensational - 2000 Jaguar S-Type
By Stephen F. - February 13 - 10:00 amGreat car. Rides great, looks great, and performs great. This car turns heads. Its style and raw HP blows away all other cars in its class. Jaguar sets the standard for cars, Ray Catena sets the standard for dealerships. I used Ray Catenas "Internet Sales" option to negotiate and purchase my car -- it was easy, pleasant, and way too cool.
