Overview & Reviews
Though it may not look like it, Isuzu has completely revised the Rodeo from top to bottom, giving it more modern styling, a user-friendly interior, more V6 power and added room for passengers and cargo.
- Silky V-6 engine. Stylish interior. Rugged exterior. Roomy rear seat.
- Disconnected steering. Lousy 4WD button placement.

Great SUV at a Great Price! - 1998 Isuzu Rodeo
By mikellanes - November 30 - 10:00 amHad this SUV for about 5 months now... a few minor problems: back lock came un-done had to re-install locking unit. Rides nice, uncomfortable after many hours, runs at 100+ MPH very smoothly for hours on end :)

Excellent Truck - 1998 Isuzu Rodeo
By Sniper - October 18 - 7:26 amExcellent truck. Bought it in 2001, still running. I spent around $1000 over 8yrs. Highly Recommend. The issues I have with this truck is rough drive compared to the Pathfinder.

surprising suv - 1998 Isuzu Rodeo
By jfig - October 12 - 10:00 amWe bought the truck one year used and have been surprisingly happy with the Rodeo. This suv has exceeded all of our purposes and expectations, however with two young ones, the back seat is a bit cramped with the car seats. We have had two oxygen sensors replaced as well as the routine maintenance performed. All other mechanicals have been maintenance free. The wife will have a hard time parting with this one.

This truck rocks! - 1998 Isuzu Rodeo
By Sam Handy - October 16 - 10:00 amI bought my truck used last November and have had it now for about 6 months. I love the truck, it handles nice, looks good and is very comfortable, plus the chicks dig it! The only problem Ive had is that it burns about a quart and a half of oil every 3000 miles. I only have 40000 miles on it. A little high but Ive heard its common with the Rodeos. Otherwise, the truck is a lot of fun and I plan on keeping it for a very long time.

Rodeo Input - 1998 Isuzu Rodeo
By Rodeo Owner - July 23 - 8:30 pmBest ride on the road. Minor problems. No obvious oil leaks after 10 years of use and 200,000 miles.

I love my rodeo - 1998 Isuzu Rodeo
By Linda - April 1 - 3:33 amI have owned my rodeo almost 12 years. I am the original owner. There have been minimal problems with it. I debated getting a new vehicle after five years and again after eight years and again after ten years; however I just cant part with it and now I would never get enough money out of it to make it worth selling. I have never been left stranded with it. I have done all the maintenance as required and been proactive to do repairs before necessary. I take good care of it and it has always been garaged. Everyone has always thought it was new. I will probably never get rid of it . I have 160,000 miles on it and it still looks great both inside and out. I love it.

We bought 3 so far......... - 1998 Isuzu Rodeo
By LoriD - March 10 - 2:00 amI started with a 1995 4cyl Rodeo and I enjoyed it. Two years later, I traded for a 1997 V6. I liked it, but longed to have the newer body style, so I traded again for a 1998 V6 4x4 with 88,000 miles, fully loaded. The car now, has 105,000 miles on it and the only thing I have changed was the a/c unit. Of course, the vehicle is maintenaned by the book, and that keeps this puppy really humming. No problems what so ever. Paint, engine, trans, interior, and electrical are original and in working order. Guess what is going to be my next car............
