Though it may not look like it, Isuzu has completely revised the Rodeo from top to bottom, giving it more modern styling, a user-friendly interior, more V6 power and added room for passengers and cargo.

• Disconnected steering. Lousy 4WD button placement.

  A great buy - 1998 Isuzu Rodeo

  My husband and I bought this vehicle over 3 years ago. It already had 107,000 miles on it, but the dealer assured us it still ran great. I must admit, in the 3 years we have driven it, we have never had a single problem with it. It now has 161,000 miles and still runs great.

  Ive had over 20 cars including high end (such as MB S600, etc). This car has outlived every single one, and Im sure it will outlive military tanks! Recently I had to sell it, which I didnt want to do, at the time the car had about 280K miles and was still running strong. Loaned the vehicle to a friend who abused it for a couple of years, and still the car NEVER had ANY problems. The VERY FEW things that I had to fix were minor.

  My 98 has about 200k ... my check engine light is on due to two sensors needing to be replace both costing $200-$300 but other than that, there is virtually nothing else wrong with the car......since Ive had it (2.5yrs) Ive had to change the breaks, timing belt, spark plugs/tune up.. very satisfied

  I love my car...until 1000 miles out of warrenty (60000), when I got a cracked cylinder head and I had to get the top half of my engine replaced. Isuzu did cover the parts $1800, but I had to pick up the labor, which was $900. Over all, thats been the only major problem. I also had a problem with the paint on my rims, but they replaced them for free so I really cant complain.

  My experience with my 1998 Izusu Rodeo overall has been Good. It drives well. Fairly dependable and is a nice vehicle to look at.

  I purchased a 98 Rodeo as a second car in 2007, with 138K miles on it. I now have over 160K with an alternator being the only repair. It runs great, has plenty of power, decent ride, good looks but awful gas mileage. On a trip I can squeak out 18mpg highway but in mixed driving, about 14mpg tops so lots of frequent $50 fill ups with the 18 gallon tank. For $22K new I might want more in this truck but I paid $2800 and its been worth every penny. So much so Im looking to find a low mileage 2004. For 10 years old, its a great used truck. Its not a Honda but beats the hell out of a 10 year old Blazer. Actually, Id take it over a 5 year old Blazer!!

  This is the 6th vehicle I have owned. All were bought new from a dealer. The Rodeo is the first one that never had any problems. The only money spent was oil changes every 3,000 miles and tire rotations every 6,000 miles, dealer servicing at 15 & 30,000 miles. It is a great car. The only complaint I have is the seats are uncomfortable for long distance driving.

  I love my Rodeo I had a 91 Rodeo an loved it, it now has over 200,000 miles so i just had to check out the newer model an suggest you do the same this truck is super reliable

  Have had 2wd v-6 manual version for over five years and 100K miles with no problems. Fun to drive and practical for family and camping. Suspension does just fine for winding dirt roads, even with 2wd.

  I am very happy with my isuzu I have 200600 k on vehicle I am second owner I new ist owner he took very good care of vehicle replaced clutch at 150k only use syn oil runs great
