Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Love my Santa Fe - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Spike_NY - June 15 - 10:00 amId driven the 2002 & found it very lacking in the get up & go dept and that was in comparison to a `95 Mitsubishi Expo (4 cyl.) w/ close to 100,000 mi. that regularly left the 2002 Santa Fe in the dust! I still love my Expo, the gas pedals responsiveness, the roominess, car like drive, a ton of standard features for the price, etc., but those are the exact reasons Im in love with my new Santa Fe LX as well. It doesnt look exactly like every other SUV out there, which seems fitting being it out classes most of them anyway (IMHO). For the look, room, ride, price & quality of even the most standard features on the LX, it cant be beat.

Rare Problem - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Cruzian - June 12 - 10:46 pmComfortable to drive, and build quality seems decent overall. So far 48 days in the shop with a head gasket leak. Actually, the factory FORGOT TO INSTALL THE REAR HEAD GASKET so it was a compression leak, but a tiny leak only when hot. I wish the dealer had pulled the heads first instead of trying everything else first. Well see how well it does with a properly assembled engine.

Love my Santa Fe - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By dombrolo - June 5 - 2:20 amBought this SUV after our Aztec & S10 got flooded in Hurricane Wilma. We had to find something quickly and the supply down here in the Keys was very limited as all the dealers lost all their stock also. About a week and half after the hurricane, I was driving past Niles in my rented car and saw this Santa Fe on their lot. It had been shipped in from a sister dealer in Tallahassee. I always had wanted a Santa Fe, I love that is wasnt boxy like most SUVs, and it was exactly the color that I had wanted. We test drove it that evening and were able to keep it overnight. We bought it the next morning and have never had any regrets. I get about 22-23 mpg which is great for SUVs. I love it!
