Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Enjoy to drive - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By njny - September 26 - 10:00 amI drive both on the New Jersey Turnpike and around the streets of New York City. This is my first SUV, my previous 3 cars were Lexus. I loved my lexus and always leased, but I needed more room and I had a limited budget. I have the car for 7,000 miles and find it a pleasure it every way. I know own the car and it takes regular gas!

Hyundai Sante Fe 2003 GLS 4WD 3.5 L - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By sca - September 26 - 10:00 amI was a previous owner of a 1998 Hyundai Elantra. The maintenance of the vehicle was very inexpensive and it was an extremely reliable vehicle. I bought the Santa Fe because I would always see it at the dealership whenever I went in for maintenance for the Elantra. So basically, I bought my Santa Fe based on the reliability of my Elantra.

Change - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By BKW - September 26 - 10:00 amFrom changing out of a Honda Accord (4cylinder) into the 6 Cylinder Santa Fe is just no comparison. The Santa Fe outperforms the Accord in all areas. Ive never been more satisfied with a car, than I am with the Santa Fe.

the hyundai experience - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Ameyer - September 26 - 10:00 amSo far Great. It is a comfortable quiet ride with awesome pick up. It is not too big and not too small and the kids have so much room in the back. The DVD player in the headrests is so cool with the cordless headphones. The woodgrain that was installed just makes the car look so rich. Ive had lots of great comments about how great it looks. Mine is white and silver.

09 Santa FE - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe
By marksj - September 22 - 8:03 pmGreat feel on the road. Drivers seat is very comfortable. Has several adjustments to make it feel that way. Very quiet inside the car. You cannot even hear the engine run. Seat cloth seems durable and feels good.

Great Car!!!!!!!!! - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Boo - September 20 - 4:20 amTo ease the fear of new Hyundai owners, Ive had my SF for 3 years now and have put on a staggering 126,000 miles. The only problem I have had was a flat tire, and the replacement of a ball joint(minor problem) thats it! Great car, and value!

Mixed reactions - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Phil - September 19 - 2:56 pmThis vehicle drives well. It accelerates well from a stop and has a fair amount of power in its engine. Fuel economy is about 20 MPG in the city and 27 on the highway. The ride is comfortable and reasonably smooth. However, maintenance is difficult for this vehicle. You must remove an intake manifold from the engine in order to change all spark plugs. The front suspension is set up so the ball joints and control arms are held in place against the weight of the car, so that it will collapse if one breaks, we recently found out the hard way. It will cost about $800 to fix this. Reliability and maintenance are sometimes issues for this vehicle.

Hyundai Santa Fe STEERING PROBLEMS - 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe
By hyundaman3 - September 18 - 2:30 pmMy 2014 Hyundai is a nice vehicle but unsafe when driving on highways due to steering wandering all over the lane I am supposed to be in. It wanders from side to side and the wandering increases as the vehicle increases in speed over 50 MPH. Constant steering corrections have to be made just to keep the vehicle in the lane it is supposed to be in and even then it still wanders back and forth noticeable.
