Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Value - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Jab0931 - August 22 - 2:00 amBest Bang for the buck out there. More fun to drive than the Acura at half the cost. The Honda Pilot is a pig on the city streets. Buy the car, not the hype of the name people!

Delighted - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By FloridaTom - August 21 - 10:00 amWhy is this SUV such a secret? I researched SUVs in this category for 2 months and although I have had my Santa Fe for just a week, I couldnt be more thrilled with every aspect. What a night and day difference between my trade in (Explorer). The dealer was awesome, significantly beating all other quotes. My Sante Fe is second generation 2002 so the clock is on the dash and the back seats folds with one hand (two complaints I read about). Im glad I bought mine before the secret gets out; this SUV is loaded with value.

By tomkat - August 18 - 10:00 amJust bought and driven over 2000 miles on it since then. only bad thing is the tires are out of balance and need to be balnced and checked by the dealer before given to customer. Also the 2.7 is a good engine but lacks power in the mountains. I would recommend the 3.5ltrGreat buying service no i got to have this one saleman and great service. I would definately recommend to anyone

Very Pleased - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Joel & Jodie - August 12 - 10:00 amWe have had the SUV for six months now and are very pleased. For the money (and warranty) the features and amenities are a great value. We did have one recall to re-program the ABS system but that took about twenty minutes at the dealer. It is smooth, quiet, and has more power than I expected. There are a few features I would like to see them included in the future but only because I have gotten used to them im my other vehicles. I got the extended ten year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. I dont normally do that but being my first experience with Hyundai I wanted the peace of mind. The warranty price is more than covered by the rebate.

Excellent Utility Vehicle - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
By johansen - August 11 - 4:07 pmWe purchased the 2013 Sport (5 seater) with the 2.0 turbo, front wheel drive, with the popular and premium packages. The popular package is pretty much standard on all models and the premium adds saddle interior with leather, rear camera, heated front/rear seats, power front seats, etc. Really didnt want to spend the extra 2 grand or so on the premium option but in the end, we decided the package was worth the money. Plenty of interior room, initially my wife was worried it was too large, but after driving it, she realized it didnt feel as large as it appeared. The ride is very solid and comfortable, the turbo gives plenty of oomph, interior is gorgeous, and the quality is excellent.

Great vehicle! - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe
By DHP - August 11 - 9:23 amI purchased the Santa Fe se v. 6 awd in April 2010 and now have almost 2500 miles on it. I was a little concerned about the gas mileage the first 1000 miles because it seemed low but as soon as it hit about 1500 the mpg jumped significantly. We took a long interstate drive and it averaged almost 25-26 mpg. I live in a city and it now averages about 21-22 which is very good for this size vehicle. Will try it out on a 1200 mile trip next week and see how it does. I will say that I love my Santa Fe. It is very easy for me to drive and it is very comfortable. It has plenty of storage compartments. I dont really have any complaints so far. I will Post a review again in a few more months.

Terrible Purchase - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
By leafsrule - August 9 - 1:39 pmI have owned this car for 1100 kms and so far the two front seats needed to be repaired as they came lose and wobbled. But my biggest problem is the car has no heat in the rear vents. An issue for car owners in Canada! Took it to the dealership and they said it was a design issue and nothing they could do? So, I am stuck with a car that doesnt heat the back-half of the car. Actually it blows cold air, which makes it worse. The car looks great, but stay away from this one, looks are deceiving.

Would not recommend - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
By smurphy - August 8 - 4:06 amI never drove a car that was such a lousy performer. The gas mileage and the power train leaves alot to be desired. While the interior is nice and the appearance is nice, I was completely disappointed in the transmission, engine and gas mileage.

workhorse - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By musiclawyer - August 8 - 2:00 amI like this car very much. Mine is loaded with all the bells and whistles, all for only a bit over 23K. The ride is very good , even in the mountainous, curvy terrain on which I drive, inspiring confidence with a commanding view of the road. On the big open straightaways and for freeway driving, its fast, responsive, excellent.
