Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

  • What a dream car for the price - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

I love this car I find the ride to be smooth, even on long trips! I also feel Hyundai has taken the time to place all creature comforts perfectly in any drivers reach and fit any drivers wallet. I never imagined myself at 25 driving a brand new suv. Even in the 2.7 size engine I feel the power of this beast but also feel I am in complete control. My Santa Fe feels like safe and sturdy luxury all around me, unlike when I am in my other halfs toyota rav 4 (I feel like Im in a can of pepsi!) The amount of room is amazing for cargo and people. Only my other half is quite tall he needs a bit more room.

  • A lot of value in a sharp package. - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

A sharp design: bold yet flowing exterior combined with nice quality touches inside as well. Cruises on highway with little engine effort or noise. Feels stable and sure footed with standard electronic stability control and traction control. Only downside I find are that seats are a bit firm to my liking.

  • Hyundai is a hidden GEM (MORE FOR $$$) - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

Own a Fully loaded Honda Oddysey and a Toy Matrix... We did not enjoy the Matrix... we did enjoy the resale value. We looked at everything... Honda Pilot, 4-Runner, CX7, CX9, Kia Sorento... then in the car area we almost settled on a pre-owned(10k) Infiniti G35 but we have 3 kids so we were looking for blend of what our Oddysey and our Matrix gave us... Plenty of space inside for trips and modern functionality in a cool package When we drove the Santa Fe we fell in love and knew it... not only is the car briliantly engineered inside and out... The build quality is visible everywhere..hence the 5 star rating. This is truly a unique vehicle with the entirety of its features/warranty

  • Good buy - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe

The Santa Fe is a very pleasant SUV. After owning a Honda Pilot for 3 years, I found the SF to be a worthwhile transport. It does ride more like a real SUV as where the Pilot was more like a car. I believe the 18" tires have a lot to do with this. The ffit and finish of the SF is now up to Honda standards in every way and at a much fairer price($4-5K saved). I do find the ride is much better than my 09 Sonata which I traded in( it had a noisy suspension). My only complaint is the driver seat is hard to adjust to my liking though not terrible in its feel. I have to be picky to say this as the SF is a joy to drive and with the 6 engine has great road power. Believe me, try it!

I enjoy my 2007 Santa Fe alot better than my 2003 Jeep Liberty. The design of all the interior storage was a huge selling point for me. I also like the look of the interior, it is so much nicer than the Liberty. I agree with one of the other people about some more goodies being added to this model.

We have only had the car 2 months but it is well worth the money. There have been zero problems with the car. You get a lot of features at a great price

  • Mobility Program - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

I bought the truck so that my 82 year- old cancer-patient Mother could get in and out with ease. I like the truck okay, but I take issue with Hyundais Mobility Program, or rather, the lack thereof. All of the add-ons I needed to assist my Mother were considered "accessories" and Hyundai refuses to pay for them. I wasnt asking for anything extraordinary; a trailer hitch so I can use my wheelchair lift and running boards to steady her while she gets in. Neither one is covered. Smoke and Mirrors and absolutely no substance. Shame on Hyundai.

  • Silky Smooth Santa Fe! - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

We recently purchased a 2007 Santa Fe Limited to replace our Toyota Camry and my wife absolutely love it. We had spent almost ten months of research test driving almost everything from Accord, Camry, Sonata, Highlander, Rav4, CR- V, Explorer, Escape, etc. The ride is silky smooth and is very quiet. Quality touches abound throughout and we are also impressed by how well it absorbs road imperfections and the comfortable leather seats. My wife really enjoys all the saftey features that come standard and the oodles of storage space that this SUV has. So far average fuel economy is 22 mpg. This vehicle is miles ahead of the Rav4. Well done Hyundai.

  • Still going strong - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe

It has been an unbelievably reliable vehicle, is comfortable, and still looks good. Its had minimal issues beyond routine wear and tear and maintenance. It has fewer electronic bells and whistles (nav, entertainment, etc) than newer vehicles, but the stereo and Bluetooth and cruise control are really nice.

  • Very happy with our Santa Fe - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

My wife and I purchased this vehicle as a hauler for our new baby and cross country trips. We bought it in Fall 03 and have not been disappointed at all. Since it is her car I make up errands just to drive it. The handling is fantastic, the options are generous, the safety is great, and the warranty makes us feel comfortable with the future. We have the 2WD version of the 2.7L V6 and it performs admirably in the snow and the rain. The "manu-matic" feature on the transmission is really great for low grearing through snow or steep grades. We also opted for the 6- disc player which rocks. On our long haul trips (8hrs+) Ive found the seats to be very comfortable and the driving enjoyable.
