Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

NOT IMPRESSED with my Santa Fe - 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe
By taryn23 - January 30 - 4:03 amI am pretty disappointed with the Santa Fe I bought, I am 21 and I bought myself a brand new vehicle and what do you know less then 4000km on it the sun roof breaks. I live 4hours away from the nearest Hyundai dealership!! They told me I was not allowed to get it fixed by any local mechanics so I had to spend literally hundreds of dollars on this piece of crap vehicle travelling almost every other week to try and get it fixed all this money is coming out of MY pocket. At about 120km/hr it starts to vibrate like crazy on the highway. Never again will I buy a Hyundai. Ill stick with Toyota from now on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great CUV, great value - 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe
By sir_timbit - January 29 - 6:57 pmWe were cross-shopping a Santa Fe against a Toyota Rav-4. Just bought a Santa Fe base model, FWD, V6. Considering the price and standard features, plus longer warranty, the Santa Fe has so much more going for it. The base model we have has a V6 with plenty of grunt, yet reasonable fuel economy, standard Bluetooth, heated seats (were in Canada), USB iPod hookup and a good stereo to match. Huge amount of storage in the back, nice hidden storage underneath too. Lots of standard features. The rear hatch swings up instead of to the side like on the Rav. Excellent visibility all around, unlike a lot of competitors with their tiny windows. No wonder they push rear view cameras!

My First SUV - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By jonabgood - January 29 - 7:13 amThis was my first SUV, my prior veh was much smaller. This is easy to get in and out of, great for grocery shopping and hauling kids around. The seats could be a little more comfortable for long trips. Overall, I stay local with the car and absolutely love it!

Sorta Beware - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Kingtriton - January 25 - 2:00 amThis vehicle is great, except that it burns oil. Hy. Corp said that it is normal to burn 1 QT / 1000 miles. Dont buy into this. It took 2 months to finally get the Corporation to fix it. Now the dealership is tearing down the engine to find out the problem. Other than the burning of oil, I have enjoyed this vehicle, especially in the snow, where it plowed through 1 1/2 of snow.

First Hyundai - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
By John - January 23 - 5:13 amWe drove various Suvs,Cuvs and we kept going back to the Santa Fe as a basis for comparison. The Santa Fes cost to value ratio when everything was considered (styling, warranty, level of interior trim, resale value ect)the Santa Fe was the clear winner. Would not hesitate to purchase another Hyundai.

Style, Comfort, And Afordability - 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe
By tim bana - January 21 - 11:40 amPurchased new 2016 Santa Fe SE AWD 8/31/15. Added on the Premium Package which offers numerous features. Ride is very comfortable with 19" tires and very positive steering. This is my first SUV, but searched the market place comparing it to other SUVs with options, price, dependability, and warranty. The Santa Fe had them beat. The 3rd seat is really for the grand kids. The V-6 has plenty of power for expressway entry and for passing. I have heated seats and wanted air cooled seats, but Hyundai has them with an additional package including a Panoramic Roof which I didnt want or need. I wish they bundle the heated/ cooled together. I took a road trip and put on 5,000 miles (averaging 26mph could be better) with no problem. During the trip stopped in El Paso Texas for an oil change. The dealer treated me very well like I was a local resident. They knew I was from another state, but that didnt matter. Hyundai has a good thing going for themselves. Time will tell how well they back their warranties.

Chirp has always served me well! - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By catt33 - January 16 - 6:18 pmYes, I named my Santa Fe "Chirp". It has been a great vehicle. I bought it used in 06 and until this year, only needed routine maintenance (Crank Shaft Sensor went out in March). I just rolled over to 90,000 miles last week and I am looking forward to many more miles with Chirp!

Bought used last year, 2013 - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By lg22150 - January 15 - 7:37 pmI bought this car used last year as a trade with my mini van. When they first pulled it up I was like, um nope. My husband made me test drive and I fell in love. Mine is brown and black, and this thing is awesome. It is by far the best car I have ever owned. Even the first Hyundai I had, swore never to get another. The gas mileage is great. Put $20 in a beginning of work week and no more until Friday or Saturday. Gets me where I need to go.
