Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

The Best Car/experience - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Sue in A.J. AZ - May 9 - 7:43 pmLove this SUV!!! Apache Junction, AZ Hyundai is the BEST! Marshall made the buying experience the BEST!! I smile every time I get in this car. The service has been excellent at the dealership. The car is comfortable and very responsive on the road. I do very much freeway driving and I feel safe in my Santa Fe. I would have sworn I would never own a SUV until I drove the Santa Fe. It drives and feels like a luxury car.

Wow, more bang for your Buck! - 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe
By nikenri - May 5 - 5:13 pmOverall the ride is smooth and comfy, some bad freeway spots however bring out a little to much bouncing. Gas mileage is not a strong point but the ride and style and great price makes up for the shortfall!

definitely look at this vehicle - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
By RickG - May 3 - 5:50 amMy wife and I were in the market for a sporty SUV and after looking at the Nissan Murano, Lexus RX350, and Ford Edge, we decided on the Santa Fe. Simply put you get more for your money and this vehicle has luxury written all over it. You cannot beat the warranty and the dealership is top notch.

Watch out! - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe
By philly331 - May 1 - 10:00 amI purchased this car with the mindset of it being a family car for the next ten years. Now I hope I can get five. I had the car in for its first oil change and had the dealer look at the transmission since it had been shifting hard into first, second and third gear. To my surprise a week later I had a new transmission. From reading the other reviews it looks like this is a universal flaw. If you have this car I hope your dealer is as honest as mine was or you could have a big problem on your hands! To anyone thinking of buying this car dont!

2010 Santa Fe Limited 3 Mos NEW - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe
By vigs - May 1 - 10:00 amThe vehicle hesitates when I try to accelerate and sounds like slipping into gear Dealer Reset Computer 3 times. Also, Air Bag compartment is different color than dash board. Leather seat squeaks when moves. Very poor workmanship and quality highly disappointed. WOULD NOT RECOMEND ANYONE PURCHASE A SANTA FE OF ANY KIND. the dealerships just tells you thats the way it is and too bad. But I paid $30K for the vehicle and its like a 20 yr old used car.

Santa Fe is a dream machine - 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe
By krcooper - April 19 - 10:00 amIve owned my Santa Fe for 19 months now and cant imagine a better SUV for the price. Its got everything I need: long warrantee, good gas mileage, great looks, lots of space, a smooth ride, plenty of power, and generally a feeling of satisfaction no other car has given me so far. Just seeing another Santa Fe on the road makes me think "there goes another happy motorist", while everyone else misses out on our little secret. Oops - I may have just let the cat out of the bag! Oh well, I cant keep such a good thing secret forever. GO GET YOUR OWN AND FIND OUT!

PROBLEMS!!! - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Michael Cunningham - April 16 - 10:00 amGot a Hyundai Santa Fe , but now we regret our decision. We have had multiple problems w/ this vehicle, such as paint peeling, check engine light coming on, and a very loud wind noise from the roof of the vehicle. It has been in the shop for the wind noise over 20 times and still not fixed. It took 3 months to get the check engine light fixed. Paint peeling has been replaced 3 times.

Absolute best bang for your buck! - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
By leesekay - April 11 - 5:12 amI literally test drove every mid-size SUV imaginable in my quest to buy my next vehicle. Coming from a Honda CR-V, I needed more interior space to cart around my large friends (All are well above 6ft tall) and my two large dogs, along with their crates. The Santa Fe was an option I was unwilling to consider, until I drove one. The ride is beautiful, and comfort mode steering helps tremendously. My small frame is a bit overwhelmed by the large seats, but the power seats and lumbar support make it more than comfortable. The options I have: heated steering wheel, front and rear seats, back up cam, navigation, Bluelink and leather seats for less money than a mid range Honda. #hyundaifamily
