Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Solid choice for the money - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Dan - September 17 - 9:50 pmHyundai is obviously not Toyota or Honda..that being said the Santa Fe is our third Hyundai SUV and we have never had major issues with any of them. The ride in this SUV is by far the quietest and most comfortable of other SUVs in ITS PRICE RANGE. We also have a 2008 CRV and the Santa Fe is a much better pic for highway travel. Gas mileage on the other hand has not improved from our older Santa Fe. I consistently get 21mpg mixed driving. You will not get 24mpg on a tank, ever. On a road trip I managed 23mpg going 70mph. Our AWD CRV averages 25mpg...then again its lighter and a 4cyl. Fit and finish is great; front seat is not good for tall drivers..but acceptable. Trade-in is terrible

Poor mans Lexus or smart mans Lexus? - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Hunter - September 14 - 12:46 amThis new 07 Santa Fe will never be confused with previous years Santa Fes. With its upscale styling and car like ride this cross over vehicle offers many standard features you wouldnt expect in a Hyundai. My neighbor asked if I just bought a Lexus when I pulled my new Santa Fe into my driveway. He was shocked when I told him it was a Hyundai. The milage figres listed are 19 city & 24 highway. To date, my milage has been less. The owners manual suggested after 1200 miles the motor will be broken in so to speak. Im hoping for better gas milage down the road. I would suggest anyone looking for a mid sized SUV to seriously consider th 07 Santa Fe.

VERY RELIABLE, A GREAT VALUE - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Roger - September 9 - 8:43 amI purchase this car for my wifes birthday a couple of years ago. She has been the primary driver. I have maintained the vehicle since new, and the only things I have done are routine maintenance. The tires will need to be replaced soon, but they are OEM and have give good service. The fit and finish rival the best SUVs out there. It has NO squeaks or rattles and the paint looks like new. The last time I had the tires rotated and balanced the brakes showed only 50% wear. My wifes cars always eat pads, so I am really impressed. Everything works just like it was new. Absolutely no problems. The warranty is the best in the industry. Cant beat it.

Best Value of many. - 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe
By lakeside4 - September 5 - 3:23 pmWe searched for a replacement for our 2006 Toyota Sequoia, wanting to go down in size. We looked at Toyota first, not finding the Highlander very appealing to us and dealer selection was awful. We also looked at Buick, Ford, GM and Dodge. We were very surprised when we began comparing features, options, overall cost and warranties of all the above. We found the Hyundai to be the best overall value by wide margin. Love driving it and the features are great. We had to drive a long way to find the one we wanted but well worth it!

The Lucky One - 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe
By john_can - August 30 - 6:02 amMy dad bought this car back in 01 and I remember the day we traded his old saturn for it. The car has 216,800 miles as of today and finally the transmission is "going" out, which is very good for an automatic. The engine is a bit small for a V6 but the car gets me around and safetly. The airbags are all still operable, other than normal maintanence like oil and the timing belts. This car has been amazing. The AC has been out a while and being in Arlington Texas and having 22 straight days of triple digit heat, it kinda sucks but the big windows rolled down help out a lot. My mileage has gone down a little cause of my transmission, but growing up with this car and now driving it is awesome.

Fun AND Reliable! - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Katster - August 22 - 2:00 amIts an attractive car thats fun to drive. I love the larger engine, it moves on these Atlanta highways with no trouble. It looks much more expensive that it is and comes with a lot of standard features on the LX edition. The 6 CD Monsoon system rocks! Side airbags and the warrenty sold me, and Ive had GREAT service from my dealership, theyve been so friendly. I recommend the air deflector for those of you with sun roofs, it keeps the wind from creating that buffeting feeling on your ears when the top is open. I look forward to driving it, my Artic Blue "Belle" (we name our cars, what can I say).
