Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

  • Nice, Fun SVU - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

I have been driving this SUV for our two months and love the way it drives. It is so much smoother that the Explorer I owned prior to this vehicle. It handles better than any SUV I have driven and can turn on a dime. The interior is very comfortable and my two young daughters love riding in the third row seats. Overall we are extremely happy with this purchase.

  • Wow, I got the dream car... - 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

Perhaps I ended up buying the exception to the rule, but I couldnt be happier. 2WD, gets 23 mpg with a 6cyl engine, beefy enough that I feel I could survive an accident, yet small enough to fit into a compact parking space. Hit the accelerator hard, and it takes a good moment to get up to speed, but once there, purrs like a kitten. Really roomy back seats, handy liftback with window opening, plus enough 12v plugs to keep everyones gizmo charged and running. There are some little bugs - the back ashtray/catchall and cup holder has decided to give up the ghost, but the heaters nice and toasty, and the heated mirrors mean I can see whats around me.

  • Pleasant surprise - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

I have to admit I had my doubts, but this suv has surpassed all expectations. It is a real pleasure driving this vehicle, especially since I traded in my old car and got this suv.

The best SUV on the market for the money, who needs 4wd, when the frt wheel drive is just as good in snow & ice.

  • love my hyundai - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

i was so excited to get my first new car in 30 years and i couldnt have made a better choice and the price is perfect so many standard features helped me make the decision. I picked arctic blue because everyone has silver and the color is getting old,at least i can find mine in a sea of silver at the mall. i love the stereo system.the ride is smooth not bumpy like my brothers jeep liberty, even he agreed.and wished he had checked into the sante fe before he had puchased his liberty. and thats why i love my hyundai!!!!!!!!

  • A TEACHERS REVIEW - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe

I have had this vehicle for over a year now and I am continually impressed with the comfort and the styling of the Santa Fe. The ride and space is a major plus. We have taken several trips and neither my back nor anyone else is in discomfort after a long ride. With the warrenty ther is alot of peace of mind. I would definately but another one and HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT

  • Thought itd get great fuel economy - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

Dont believe even the revised fuel economy numbers that Hyundai says the 2013 Santa Fe can get. I bought my Santa Fe assuming I would get very near the (at the time) advertised 33MPG highway, god I was wrong. I have owned the vehicle for 1 month today, it is currently in the shop to find out why my mileage is soo terrible (21 MPG) mixed use. Mind you I drive the car very economically to get better mileage. NOW Hyundai says OOPS we goofed, we lied about the numbers, turns out your car is a gas guzzler, here is a $65 visa gift card for your trouble. HA! $65, thanks but no thanks! Also, the dealer checked under the when I got there the car was almost out of coolant after 1100 miles.

  • still like it after problems - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

Bought my Limited after testing Honda CRv, Toyota Rav 4,Camry, Infiniti QX, Lexus 350 as it had the best ride, safety features, standard accessories and design at much less than all the others. I was very impressed how quiet and smooth it is. Poor gas mileage though, nowhere near as stated. Had some initial quality oroblems with rear seat cupholder not staying closed (replaced) rear seat leather edge wont stay attached, then a failure in the brake switch (no brake lights) then a failure in the bolt of the rear pass.side control arm, which almost caused a wreck (replaced) and a squeaky suspension. Dealer refused to replace the vehicle.Have lost trust in my vehicles build quaity.

  • Eat Your Heart Out Ford Explorers - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

I bought this vehicle for the quality, price, the warranty, and the reputation the company has. I have never been disappointed in any of its features. I had a Ford Exploder before this with the 4.0 SOHC and the Santa Fe will not only run away from it but get gobs better gas mileage while doing it. It handles like a dream in mountain curves and straight aways never wandering or feeling like you were out of control. The Ford product did not give you this same sense of security. I have done nothing but drive the vehicle and have not had ONE single incident where I had to take it to the garage for any repairs. Would buy another in a heartbeat.
