One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers.   Ive owned my car four years, 25,000 miles. It has always been reliable, never one problem. I was in an accident two years ago and had the front-end rebuilt. I anticipated problems, and still nothing! I traded cars for a day recently, and I really missed my sweet little Santa Fe! I do mostly city driving, but did take a road trip (10 hours each way) to the desert. She was a stellar off-road performer.

  Easily the worlds best SUV. Destroys everything from a Toyota to a Hummer. The Santa Fe may be the greatest vehicle the world has ever seen.

  Purchase this Santa Fe used with 25k. The only problem I encountered was a defective rear seat hatch which was covered under the factory warranty. At 54k it still has 30% front and 90% original factory brakes. It rides like a car, gets acceptable mileage and very easy to get in and out of.

  We were looking for a small SUV. We looked at the Ford Escape and found that 36 months for a warranty couldnt compete with the Santa Fe. We got a 6 cylinder instead of a 4 cylinder for less money.

  This is a great midsize SUV.It is solid and drives like a car.I would recommend this to anyone.The 3.5 FWD engine is highly recommended,smooth and powerful.

  I purchased the pearl white model and its a real head turner. The SUV is beautiful inside and out. I notice other SUV drivers looking at it in traffic and Ive even had some approach me to check it out. I could see their jealousy and envy in their faces. I feel badly for the people who bought a 2006 Santa Fe. I would be kicking myself right now. When my wife suggested a Hyundai I thought she was nuts. (The name stigma). But after ALOT of research, on this, the CR-V, the Rav4, and the Forester, the Santa Fe blew them away. I was impressed with how far Hyundai has come. Its no longer the high rent Yugo, its now the low rent Lexus!

  Its easy to drive with little care. I especially like the feature where you can phone when theres a problem; however, I used it falsely when getting a warning light only because I didnt twist the gas cap three times. Its very sturdy, easy to handle and very comfortable on long distance trips.

  Wanted it 10sec after first test drive. Payments are resonable but local dealership wouldnt work with me so I drove 200 miles to another dealership. Wasnt upset.. I got to drive it all the way home!
