Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

still love it - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Still Love it - December 24 - 5:36 amI have had this car now for about 1 1/2 years and only had 1 minor problem that the dealership took care of instantly. I am very satisfied after 1.5 years. Mileage could be better but I still enjoy all the features and the vehicle has held up well thus far. I use it a lot for work to transport things. I have no complaints with the vehicle thus far.

Great SUV - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By lpastrik - December 18 - 10:16 pmWeve had our Santa Fe for 3.5 years. It just hit 104,000 kms. Other than oil changes, we have had no problems. Minor things like cloth coming out from door handle a bit but that is it. Great ride, lots of storage, great for families. Considering buying it out at the end of our lease

Poor gas mileage - 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe
By geobcon - December 18 - 1:52 amThe MPG, when having first purchased the Hyundai Santa Fe, was upwards of 25.5 on trips and around 22 to 23 in the city driving. This was the prime reason I got rid of my Dodge Dakota which was giving me 16MPG/18MPG city/highway respectively. My total driven miles since the lease of my Santa Fe are 3800 +/- as of 12/12/11. About a week ago, 12/05/11, the MPG had decreased to 19.0 MPG on trips and very little change in city driving. I filled the tank and noted that the MPG reading went back up to 24.0 MPG for a few miles then dropped back to 19.0 MPG whether I was on the road at a constant 60 MPH or driving in the city at 30 MPH . Checking the actual miles driven since the last fill-up (on 12/12/11) with the gallons of gas consumed, i.e. Miles/Gallons used, the MPG calculated to 18.0 MPG. Why?? The odometer resets the MPG after fill up. IÂ’m up to 19.8MPG having driven 3 miles from the gas station and will continue to monitor the MPG to see if it reaches the expected MPG (the reason I purchased a Hyundai) I brought the car to the dealership (where leased on 09/12/11) to have the problem checked and they werenÂ’t able to find any problem other than the tire pressure was down by 3 psi. Our temp had fallen to below freezing that day but even so, when the problem first occurred, the temp was in the 60Â’s. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem and if so, is there a solution?

HYUNDAI SANTA FE-GLS 2.7 AWD - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Lindar - December 14 - 10:00 amReally like the comfort, price and standard features. Drove both the 2.7 & 3.5 models at the dealer, found out that the 2.7 is just a TAD slower on pickup than the 3.5..the 3.5 would have cost me more, so I bought the 2.7. Am satisfied with the SUV on the whole.

Loving my Santa Fe - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By k79mill - December 11 - 9:33 amI love my new Santa Fe. I have had it 5 months & I still enjoy driving it. It drives fantastic both in town & on the highway. Has plenty of power for passing. Before buying my Santa Fe I was considering a Honda Pilot. I test drove the base model Pilot and decided on the Santa Fe. For the money the Santa Fe won hands down & the drivers seat was alot more comfortable too. The Santa Fe has a lot more features for the money.

Its New and Fun! - 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Jerry P. - December 10 - 3:06 amAfter 6 months of research on SUVs, I chose the Santa Fe for its style, performance, price, warranty program, leg and head room (Im 6-4"). No sunroof addition which allows 5 extra inches of head space. The AWD is very responsive and the 3.3L, 6cyl is well worth the upgrade.

Nice at first-now the worst purchase ever - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
By cofun74 - December 7 - 3:45 amI bought the Santa Fe in April of 2013. I put a lot of miles on my vehicle with highway travel back and forth to work and driving my child to her activities. Currently my vehicle has 40,000 in October of 2014. I really enjoyed the vehicle at first, until the funny clunking sound started in the front end while starting off from a complete stop. After my Hyundai ceritifed service department at Bob Brady Dodge proceded to tell me nothing was wrong with my vehicle and that they had driven it 10 miles, although the odometer had the same mileage as when it was dropped off. When the service guy rode with me he did confirm it didnt sound right, although they convinced me it was just the AWD.
