Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

2010 Santa Fe Lemon- - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe
By DA - February 22 - 2:00 amAfter great reviews I took a chance on a Hyundai Santa Fe 2010. Ran great until about 7000 miles. Thats when I noticed oil on my garage floor. Had the problem (timing chain cover)"fixed". Four days later it is leaking worse than ever. I cant wait to hear what the problem is this time. Also, intermittent transmission issues. Hyundai customer service no help yet. I will never buy a Hyundai again. I wish I would have done better research when I bought this vehicle. Please do yourself a favor if you are reading this review trying to decide on a purchase...do not buy a Hyundai. I fell like I threw $22000 out of the window and Im sure it wont last 100K. I should have bought a gm. :-(

Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5 L GLS AWD - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Dave - February 21 - 9:16 amThis has been a good vehicle since buying used. Great interior layout and features for the price. Gas consumption and braking could be better. No problems so far. Would recommend this vehicle to anyone wanting a good comfortable SUV.

Worth The Money - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By ardiemuse - February 20 - 2:00 amA fine vehicle to date. All the amenenities at an affordable price. Fit and finish very good. I live in northern NY and the Santa Fe has served me very well in this last rough winter. The AWD feature is sure footed for safe, comportable and reliable transportation. The 3.7 V6 is powerful and very quick when passing another vehicle. I would buy another in a heartbeat but I would buy it somewhere other than a Fucillo dealership. The reasons for that decision would be material for a book.

Love my Santa Fe - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Pharmdoc77 - February 20 - 2:00 amI was looking for a sporty SUV that is reliable and efficient. I got it with the Hyundai Santa Fe. No need for 4WD as I purchased the 4 cylinder model with front wheel drive. This baby plowed through 12 inches of unpaved snow without a buckle with no problem. On dry roads, this automobile gives a smooth and solid ride and takes the bumps effortlessly. The interior is stylish and well thought out. The 4 cylinder engine gives plenty of pep. I couldnt be happier with my purchase.

Luxury look, poor mileage for class - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By MNsota - February 11 - 2:40 pmThis vehicle is an exceptional purchase in every way save for one key item, I only get 15.9 mpg in town. Though driving long distances this does get up to abut 23 mpg, I am very dismayed at this mileage. And yes, I do tend to have a heavier foot, but this is too low for a "smaller" SUV. One other small issue is a creaking noise in the cabin coming from the dashboard, maybe was put together too tight or something? Otherwise, everything else feels like a luxury SUV about this vehicle. Great power, nice looks, decent room, very cool lighting at night.

Nice surprise - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
By jacukel - February 10 - 10:16 amNever owned a Korean vehicle before— had the same skepticism others have. Was given one at a car rental place in Phoenix this spring. I was incredibly surprised by how solid the vehicle was, the performance and the nice little extras throughout the car. Shopped Jeep, Ford and Chevy before going with the Santa Fe— the dealer also bent over backward to make me a deal. I love the stereo, the seats (even without power adjustment), car really zips around— and like I said, nice little extras (cargo net, full-size spare, cargo cover, child seat anchors, 3 DC outlets, traction control). Negatives? Funky exterior styling, a lot of lean in hard turns. Beyond that, not much.

Worst Suv Ever - 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe
By B-E-N-I-T-O - February 9 - 3:46 pmWell stating I have only had my Santa- fe for a few months now I must say I will never by another Hyundai ever again. The santa-fe is built cheap compared to other foreign models. The parts are extremely expensive. Parts are not high quality, transmission have many problems. Heated seat got so hot it burnt a hole in my drivers seat, center-console it very cheap plastic. Has left me stranded 3 times now and with a nice Wrecker bill also.
