Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

  • GLS after 6 months - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe

After 6k running ok. Nice exterior - gets lots of looks and washes up nicely, especially bumpers. Initial acceleration is a little hesitant. Seats are somewhat hard and flat. Front interior is small for 6 ft. tall people. Back trunk has lots of room and easy access.

What looks like a full size SUV with interior room to match for a very low price. Well thought out features. With the extended warranty, reliability is a non-issue.

  • Decent but leaves a lot to be desired - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe

Overall, a good value for the money compared with other SUVs in this class.However...at 4000 km there was an oil leak which took 3 trips to the dealership and was finally fixes with silocone sealant.During the winter, the windshield washer fluid reservoir broke and had to be replaced.Windshield is surprisingly fragile - accidentally dropped the wiper arm when replacing the wipers and the windshield cracked all the way to the top.I also have a 2005 Chevy Malibu and the Santa Fe is missing a lot of the nice add-ons.It even doesnt have auto on headlights (come on, I get leather seats and not this!).I have had less problems with my Chevy (and previous one) in 5 years than with the Santa Fe in 1.

  • Great Value and Drive too - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe

Purchased my silver blue pearl Santa Fe SE in June. My initial ride home over 100 miles was a delight, beautiful ride vehicle felt right in my hands. I have 2000 miles on it now and its still as advertised. My avg fuel mileage is 24.7 and there is a wonderful feeling knowing it has plenty of power with the V6. Mine has the premium package really enjoy the XM and all the other features. No complaints or issues with this vehicle.

  • Best bang for your buck - 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe

I got the Santa Fe with a trade-in, and the total cost was about 29K (before trade) with the warranty/gap/taxes etc. Although I did not get a package like the sunroof, leather interior, rear view camera, gps, etc., I think the base model is still a great deal for the money I spent. I need an awd due to my location, and this vehicle is the best option out there for this price. I also checked options like Ford, Nissan, Mazda and Honda, and I would have to spend an extra 5-10K just to get the same level of comfort/performance from the other brands.

  • 08 Santa Fe - Love it! - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe

Had my vehicle for over a month now, and I LOVE it. Nice interior, nice ride, great style - especially for the price. You just cant beat this spacious SUV and its 10 year warranty. It has a luxury feel with an affordable price. Beats Saturn Vue, Honda CRV and Toyota Rav 4 in all areas. Great family vehicle!

  • Vibration - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
    By -

I now have 3000 miles on my 2008 LTD. The car is great for design, both interior and exterior. The only problem is a vibration between 45 - 75 MPH. It is not the tires or wheels and Hyundai service has not been able to locate the problem. I rode tested other 2008 Santa Fes and have noticed the same problem. Has anyone else run into this problem?

  • Great SUV - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe

We love it! Well worth the money.

  • Helenas Santa Fe - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe

Selected the 2WD for power requirements. Never ceases to amaze me with the options. Has seat warmers which my husbands $60K corvette convertible does not have. Replaced the multi-grade oil with fully- synthetic oil and experienced a huge difference in its responsiveness.
