Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

Still loving my Santa Fe! - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By MMHBLG - November 26 - 10:00 amThis is the first vehicle that I have purchased and still love after months of use. It is comfortable, reliable, and well engineered. I have thoroughly enjoyed owning this vehicle. Its cost and warranty are unbeatable. Much better value than Japanese counterparts and the dealer will treat you better as well.

Nice but underpowered - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By nmroberto - November 26 - 10:00 amGreat value for the money. Similar equiped vehicles from other manufacturers were a couple of grand higher. Very comfortable, lots of amenitities, handles well, quiet and build quality has been excellent so far. My only gripe is the underpowered 2.7 liter engine.

Love my new Santa Fe - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Blonde mussy - November 21 - 10:00 amI recently picked up my new Santa Fe. I love the comfort and handling. Everywhere I go people stop and ask me "What is that?", "I love it", "It doesnt look like everything else out there." Those are some of the reasons that I purchased it. It has great get- up-and-go, and so far it gets the gas mileage promised. The salesman at Ganley Westside was honest and completely helpful{ Bob C.}. If you ever shopped for a new car and you are a woman youll understand that it is a real pain, as I found out after 4 LONG weeks of shopping around. It was a breath of fresh air to find an honest salesman.

Great buy ! - 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe
By murph20 - November 19 - 4:23 pmThis was a great buy for the money.Lots of extras included in the base price and other options available at reasonable markup. With the V6 putting out 276 hp it has excellent acceleration and handles reasonably well. More than ample cargo space , attractive interior[love the blue lights] and one of the worlds best warranties makes this a great choice of a mid size SUV. Oh did I mention the price ??? But to be fair I have mention that it does not have the smoothest ride. All in all I have to say that I love this Vehicle for the price.

Love the car but.... - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
By santafedriver - November 19 - 10:00 amI purchased my Santa Fe almost two years ago and I have really enjoyed the car for the entire timeuntil today. The car started jumping forward when I was traveling a low speeds or stopped at a light. A few minutes later, the ESC and oil lights illuminated in the dashboard and the car lost power. Luckily I was just two blocks from home.

Best car Ive ever had - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Bruce - November 14 - 8:23 pmMy six year old Santa Fe has 150,000 miles on it and it still has the original BF Goodrich tires on it, original front brakes. I replaced the rear pads and rotors in March 2010. I have always used synthetic oil and have had no problems with the engine at all. Average 22 MPG. I have had two problems. I have replaced the headlight and fog light bulbs four or five times, and the car has developed a short in the electronic odometer. Otherwise, I have had no problems with this car and have spent next to nothing on it.

Luv my Hyundai Santa Fe - 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Kim - November 14 - 4:03 pmI have been driving various Honda vehicles for the past 13 years. They have pretty much priced themselves out of the market(for what you get). And lets face the fact that a Honda drive like a Honda. I purchased the 2010 SE this past Saturday. I wanted something a bit more "luxurious" & want to feel that I am getting little bit more value for my money. Everyone I have spoken with who has a Santa Fe highly recommends this vehicle. I was sold after my test drive. Very comfortable & lots of space for everyone. I am impressed that the sticker said 20/26 for gas mileage. Very solid/safe/sporty suv!

Love it so far . . . - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By EagleHeadEd - November 14 - 3:13 amWe traded in an ML320 and were kinda concerned with what the differences might be. After fewer than 1k miles we have no complaints at all. The style, interior comfort, ride/performance, etc. are great. Did a lot of research prior to purchase and took test drives of Honda and Toyota. Both were nice but couldnt compare with the Santa Fe. Dealership folks were super to work with too. Havent had much of an opportunity to judge the mileage but anticipate it will be considerably better than the M- B.

Really nice car - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Dave - November 11 - 6:26 amI just traded in a 2001 BMW X5 so once I got over the BMW/Hynudai issue, I was fine. Its a great car for the money. I originally purchased the GLS but went back the next day and got the SE. I like the little extras, especially the on wheel audio controls, compass in the rear view mirror, trip computer, and more.
