One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe.   I would reccomend buying this SUV to anyone looking for a worthwhile SUV at a very reasonable price. I purchased the same model in June of 03 and I liked it so much that I traded mine in for a newer model. They handle great, look great and get good gas mileage!

  I continue to be impressed with this vehicle. I was hesitant to buy based on Hyundais old image with cheap cars. I have only had it for about a month and keep discovering things that impress me. For instance, the gas mileage for highway. level road, 65 mph is up to 30.4 mpg. And until I drove it in the dark, I did not realize how cool the dash lights and all other lighting on the console, steering wheel and armrests were this cool violet blue. The Infinity stereo system is overkill for me, but has nice sound. Nice road handling. I would highly recommend this vehicle.

  Nicely Refined SUV - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

  This vehicle drives beautifully smooth. Feels solid and interior is elegant and functional. Gas mileage is the same as advertised. Already driven it in icy and wet conditions with no problems (it is not the AWD model). The ESC feature rocks. The rest of the features and crash test ratings speak for themselves.

  This ugly thing has grown on me. It has been virtually maintenance free. The build quality is superb - Im really impressed. Its resale value is far underappeciated for the reliability and quality. I will buy more Hyundai products.

  Just purchased, only have 600 miles on vehicle. Has plenty of power highway mpg good. Local was only 15.5 mpg. Transmission smooth shifting, front seats very comfortable. Shiftronic function is useful. Interior and exterior give an excellent appearance. Standard features include many that are options with other manufacters.

  Solid performer - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe

  This is a solid and fun car to drive. It is especially great in bad weather, heavy rain, snow, wind. It stays stable on the road with the AWD doing the work for you. It has comfortable firm seating,a good view from its higher elevation, and a nice powerful engine. The Monsoon sound system is incredable.The 6 disc changer works effortlessly, the dash panel is easy to access and read. You can haul a lot inthe back and on top if need be. The paint, finish and detail is extra nice. You get a lot for the money. Ive had no major mechanical problems in the two years Ive owned the car.

  I gave a lower reliability score because a front seal Transfer seal setn out and led to having to replace the casing, not a cheap fix. Im second owner to the warranty was not valid for me but the dealer/manufacture kicked in for a third of the cost. I dont understand the lower ratings on "performance" but my 2.6 v6 really gets with it when merging into a fast freeway on ramp. It is really fast which surprised me on the test drive for an SUV. This vehicle has 8o,ooo on it when I bought it and the previous owners had kept really good care of this rig, it was like new and still is and, unlike the new models it still had the combo CD/cassette radio and a rear window that opens (love it).

  When I first saw the Santa Fe I knew I had to have it. Finally an SUV that didnt look like all the rest. My current car was less than 3 years old but after a few test drives in the Santa Fe, I sold my car and bought the Santa Fe. People still come up to me to ask about it. Ilove it.

  I bought the base model and this thing has everything I need. This is the first Hyundai I ever drove or owned and I am very impressed and pleased thus far. The dash is nicely laid out and has all the features you really need. The defroster works extremely well and the blue tooth was easy to set up. Im averaging 27.1 mpg. I would highly recommend this vehicle.

  I finally switched from Ford - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

  Most of my friends say it must be a cold day in hell...I took the plunge and switched from Ford. I am so happy that I did. This vehicle is awesome and exceeds my expectations. I have owned this for 1 month and I cant believe the difference from an American car. Outstanding ride, comfort, and quiet solid vehicle.
