Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

I love my Santa Fe! - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Donna - May 20 - 11:16 amI purchased this vehicle brand new, and from the day I picked it up to this day, it has served me well. I recently had a 60,000 mile check-up, and although it was expensive, I had great feedback from the mechanic who did the work. I have never broken down anywhere, nor have I ever been afraid to take my car on trips. I feel safe in my car, especially being above most other vehicles. I recently replaced my brakes and tires after 60000 miles. Can you imagine that? Brakes that stop and tires that keep on running! When the day comes to retire this wonderful car, you can bet that I will turn right around and replace it with another Santa Fe. I love my Santa Fe! Donna in Sacramento

Nice car but.. - 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe
By solarfried - May 13 - 10:34 pmDrove the car for 3 weeks. Noisy you hear every bump on the road and feel most of them. The 4 cylinder cannot decide which gear to accelerate in. When you press accelerator a bit (not floor it) or floor it it it takes a second or two to decide to go. The handling at speed is a bit less than precise and the car can be all over the lane if its windy. Had the previous model with a v6 and it was much better. If you want one, I higly recommend, take in on the xpressway with radio off and listen to the noise. No two Santa Fes ride the same. You might find one that is actually quiet. This one was one noisy car. The tire noise was obtrusive. The road noise got transmitted into the vehi

couldnt be happier - 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe
By rpost - May 8 - 12:03 pmGood Stuff! previously owned 3 Toyotas and looking for a change. Found an affordable, adorable, reliable mini- SUV. I always admired the look from a far and now Im thrilled that its super comfortable, perfect height, solid construction (heavy doors, easy handles, solid accessories). I can fit 2 bikes with no problem and the perks are great (heated seats, cruise, leather)

GOOD EXPERIENCE - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By mike B - May 4 - 2:00 amThe dealership was very fair. I was able to get TMV price on the auto without a problem and zero% for five years sold me. The auto has smooth and powerful pick up. Soft ride with good handeling. The inside is cockpit like but comfortable. Got to love all the standard features. The leather with heated seats and mirrors a must.

Great SUV with one major problem - 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Carrie - May 3 - 4:16 amThis is my first SUV which I bought used and absolutely love. It runs great, is comfortable and gets pretty good gas mileage. Ive had it for 2 years now and have just now run into a snag. My Crank sensor went out on me without any warning. I was driving to work and everything was fine and all of a sudden it started jerking, all my warning lights came on and then it just died on me. I had to have it towed to the dealership & unfortunately my warranty ran out 6 weeks ago so now Im looking at around $500. Other then this it has been a great first SUV & I would definitely purchase another one.

Good vehilcle a couple problems - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
By satisfied - April 28 - 2:30 amWe bought our 2008 Sante fe after looking at Ford, Chev, Toyota and Chrysler and decided that the Sante Fe was an all better deal, price wise, handling and style. We had a problem with the airbag sensor which was irratic, coming on and going off was not predicatable. This was finally fixed. Also the accelerator sensor acted up. The vehicle would pulsate from 600 RPM to 1500 RPM. The sensor was replced and now works well. Love the interior design especially the dashboard lighting. Exterior design is also good.
