Overview & Reviews
One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.
Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

I like my Santa Fe!!! - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Clee Dillard - July 17 - 10:00 amI had researched and compared several SUVs and found out that for the money I was getting more SUV. I had owned a Sonata several years ago and was quite satisfied. I drove both the 4 cylinder AND the 6 cylinder and found no difference in the pick up. ITS A GREAT SUV. The 4 cylinder I choose has a jerking motion when ideling for a while....is this normal. I HAVE noticed that more people are going to the compact SUVs now due to size AND gas milage. I made a GREAT choice. Thanks...Clee

So far so good - 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe
By starsky - July 15 - 9:13 pmThe car has a little over 10000 miles on it since bought new in january. The wife gets 22.5 MPG mixed city and highway driving. I get around 26 MPG driving it highway to work. A recent leak in the power steering is being addressed by the dealer. The rack is being replaced and the dealer provided a loaner car over the Labor day Holiday. We have been treated very well by everyone since the car purchase.

Im in LOVE!!! This Hyundai is Stylin - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Maria - July 14 - 8:46 pmI loved this car when I drove it for the first time. Thought it was fantastic that the dealer let me take it for 24 hours to test drive, that made me love it even more. My husband really wanted the Honda Pilot, but once I brought the Hyundai home, he loved it for me. Plenty of room inside and love the hideway trunk space.

Enough Power For Me - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
By rgunnc - July 14 - 2:00 amThis car rides and handles far better than Ford Explorers I have ridden in for the 3000 miles we have driven it. We took it to the mountains of NC for a real trial and it climbed even the steepest hills with little effort and maintained 60 mph in cruise, downshifting as needed. Got 25mpg going up and nearly 30 coming back. The horsepower is adequate, not exceeding 4000 rpm on the steepest incline.

Never Go To Anything Else - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By howard434_Toronto - July 13 - 2:16 amI love this suv its 3000 less than a rav4 and is 2500 less than a crv I got into a minor accident with a parked truck and my Santa Fe only got $1253.11cdn worth of damage. And the truck got $5000.00. That tells you something! Ive only had one problem and that is the battery in Canadian winters is useless [go to Costco and get a cheap battery its better than this one]

great deal - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Jorge Bonilla - July 7 - 10:56 pmI used to own a Hyundai Santa Fe 2002 GL and I was very pleased with it, with the exception of the low power. I just change it into the new Santa Fe 2007 and big improvement in design and performance ! The torque is very good, the noise of the engine at the cabin is very low, even at 90 miles per hour. The third row of seats is excellent for kids. Interior design could have a more unique style, looks kind of cheap but it is acceptable. Need to improve the sound quality of the car stereo. Overall, very good , keep it up!!

Service - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By John - July 4 - 12:23 pmThis vehicle has been a joy to drive. I still have not Had any of the problems written about by others. I have not had any interior light problems either. This could be because I purchased vehicle at the end of May 2007. Earlier models in the year may not have had all of the interior map/dome lights and automatic switches installed at time of purchase. I learned from past experience to purchase a new vehicle as late in model year as possible. This way manufacture, would have gotten feed back on your particular model/make. For example; if you purchased your Santa Fe Limited 3.3 liter engine in september of 2006, interior lights may not have come on when doors were opened. Later on yes.

STAY AWAY! - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Harkins - July 2 - 10:33 pmMy first "new" car & I have had nothing but issues. I bought it used with 15k. I have had it less than 3 years now & have had to replace the tires 4 times & have to get an alignment every 4 months...I only do hwy driving! My catalytic converters just went out at $1300 a piece & I only have 60k on the car....thank god for the federal law that is making them replace it. I always have issues with the sensors, car doesnt start in the cold & nuts & bolts seem to always fall off of it. I am on my way to pick up my car from the shop (97 miles away) & am going to trade it in on something that is NOT a HYUNDAI!
