Model Overview:

One of Hyundai's longest-running nameplates, the Santa Fe is a car-based crossover SUV aimed at buyers seeking the elevated ride height and useful cargo area of a traditional utility vehicle in an easy-to-drive package. Modern versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe are midsize with three rows of seating, quality cabin furnishings and user-friendly tech features. Whether you're shopping for a new or used Santa Fe, value is a big part of its appeal. The standard equipment list is generous, as is Hyundai's warranty coverage.

Earlier versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe range from compact to midsize in dimensions and have seating for five passengers. The 2007 and later models are a big step up in styling, performance and interior space, and they're worth considering if you're shopping for a used midsize crossover. Hyundai has since subdivided the Santa Fe line into two models: the two-row Santa Fe Sport and the three-row Santa Fe. The latter is more luxurious than its predecessors, offering premium styling and plenty of power.

  • Great get around vehicle - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe

If your driving around town or on short excursions, it is a great vehicle to own. Drives and handles very well, good gas mileage for an SUV, has a lot of cargo room. Was hit by another car from behind and it felt like I rolled over a little speed bump -- good quality construction.

  • Excellent Buy For The Money - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

I *love* this vehicle! 3.5L engine is an absolute BEAST on the road, and I havent had a single REAL problem with the car yet. Everything is modular inside, easy to work on and easy to find. I love the styling as well, though some seem to think its "too aggressive". Then they go back to driving their Neons and Cavaliers. Well worth EVERY PENNY *AS LONG AS YOU PLAN TO DRIVE IT FOREVER* (Resale value doesnt hold as well on these)

  • So far so good!! - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

My lovely wife and I have just recently invested in a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV. Its been almost a month now, and I havent heard a peep from her regarding our current conveyance issues. While considering what Ive endurred in the last year and a half; what with her constantly wearing her elbow out on my ribs and also putting unnecessary mileage upon my backside via her sneaker; I MUST SAY THAT... I AM PLEASED. Thanks for providing me an opportunity to vent my appreciation!! John Wolfe Orlando, Florida

  • Hyundai still surprises me - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

I have owned 2 Hyundais so far. I keep waiting for something bad to happen to them like everyone wants. All I know is this, I buy them because of their ausume warranties and never have to take them in... Its crazy, Ive owned Lincolns, Cadillacs, even a 328 BMW. The only vechicle that can compare to the quality of my Hyundai are my Toyotas. Reliability the same, great, but Toyota quality still tops the list with Lexus. But, my Tundra 4 door 4x4 cost almost twice what my wifes Santa Fe cost.... You do the math.....

  • I Love My Santa Fe - 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe

Our Santa Fe was the first Hyundai we ever purchased. I love cars and know a lot about the different car companies. Never have I been so satisfied with a car!!! It has been over a year since we bought our Santa Fe and we are still absolutely in love. I have never witnessed a car get so many compliments. And it only cost $21,000! It is more beautiful and eye- catching than other more bank-breaking SUVs and of course it is the most affordable. Three people actually bought a Santa Fe after seeing ours. We are purchasing another Hyundai this year, a Tiburon for myself. I know I cant go wrong with Hyundai! We love you Hyundai!

  • Ok so far... - 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe

Just traded an 08 Nissan Rogue with a myriad of problems for the 11 Santa Fe. So far, its been ok. We went for the V6 SE FWD because that is all that was on the lot at the time. Would have preferred the AWD as we live in midwest with unpredictable winter weather, but hoping for the best. Gas mileage has been the best thing so far. I drive 90m round trip daily in combined city/hwy. We are getting 23mpg combined average. Better than the Rogue. It drives ok. Nothing to rave about, but not terrible either. The drivers seat is a little uncomfortable. It is power adjustable, but neither my husband or I can get comfortable in it yet. Hoping its just from being new and will soften a bit.

I am a college student and my Hyundai is good on fuel and the price is not so bad. I can have a comfortable and nice SUV and still have a little money left for tuition.
